I keep hearing about the new changes, there is a thread that says Piling on is being removed, and I read about some allusions to changes to grab and gutter runner.

My simple question is, what is the full list of changes or at least where can I find them to read for myself?

It's not LRB7 its the new BB2016 rules that were released with the new box set.

There is a BB 2016 Rule change summary thread further down the first page in this general chat forum.
Gutter runner doesn't have grab but there will be some weeping blade skill that has minor effect on injuries.

that thread merely lists them, it specifically states it's not for discussion on them. is there a thread for discussing and asking questions on them?

HERE!?
Do you have to have bought the new version?

What is Expensive Mistakes?
What Star Players have been revised.
What Special Play Cards are redesigned.

With no more wizrd, these things become quite important.

It means blackbox TV mismatches become a more important issue.

You can read the FFB client update details here:
https://fumbbl.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=22352

the current version is 1.2.7

fouling works as usual, but when a fouling player is spotted you can try to argue the call in order to prevent the ban, 1d6 is rolled:

1: both coach and player are banned, -1 to brilliant coaching rolls, you will not be able to argue the call anymore;
2-5: the ref is not persuaded and the player is banned;
6: the ref changes his mind and sends the fouling player to the reserve box.

Expensive Mistakes: effectively a randomised cap on your treasury, not wise to go above 190k, or even 90k if you have any reason to spend it.

Star Players, and most other inducements, including Wizards, are unchanged. Officially you just add whatever is missing back in from LRB6. There's new star players, but they may not be included here.

The special play cards have changed, but the old ones are allowed, I imagine fumbbl will stick with the old ones for the foreseeable future.

The main thing for blackbox is with expensive mistakes new in and spiralling expenses remaining in, the big teams simply will not be able to maintain numbers for very long. Also, no CPOMB because no Piling On in box!

Courtesy of fidius for the summary:

Expensive Mistakes:
If Treasury is 100,000gp or greater you must roll for Expensive Mistakes. Roll d6, apply Modifier based on current Treasury, then check the Table. Round losses up to nearest 10,000gp.

Treasury Modifier
100-190 +2
200-290 +1
300-390 +0
400-490 -1
500+ -2

Mistakes Table
1- Lose all but 2d6 x 10k gp
2 Lose half of Treasury
3 Lose d3 x 10k gp
4 Lose d3 x 10k gp
5+ Nothing happens

I see the changes listed but what does this mean practically for a game in the box or ranked? Are the bb2016 rules implemented in R and B or just available as options in league play?
