Now i know i am not all that good at BB...and i have lots to learn..
But any ideas on how to turn super bad Luck around?

In one game i made a totalt of 10 GFI..and 6 times i got a 1..i rerolled 3 times (all the rerolls i had) and one of those i failed too...so a total of 7 1 on 13 rolls.

Another game i made som 20 Dodge with my Wood Elves VS a normal no tackle player..all simple dodges..no extra tacklezones or anything..and i failed 10 of those making a grand total of 7 turnovers, trying to do what elves should do..get away from those nasty blockers.

I never fail to use at least one or two rerols if i make 4 GFI moves.

I am hardly able to pick up the ball with AG4 and Sure Hands.

My Wardanser was killed so i used apoth to save him and it succeded...So next thing i try to Dodge away from the nasty mummy hitting me and he fails dodge and reroll on dodge and he dies instantly..

And i could keep telling stories like this.. Not some games not a lot of games but ALL games i get at least 3-5 times dobble skull doing what should be fairly safe blocks.

If ever i try to do a Simple 1-d Block i know for sure i will never get what i need in an important situation..

I have gotten to the point where i am about to quit..I dont mind at all losing because i suck..i can live with that...but losing each and every game mostly due to bad luck is a pain in the ....

Either The random Generator is based on some Processor tech and my processor hates me...or i am just cursed.

any sugestions...???

Dump your wife/girlfriend/whatever.

Cos you know it goes like "a bad luck in lovelife means a good luck on the field".

So you can see from your opponent's rolls if he/she has gotten any... Wink

woah Fayeed, take it easy. You haven't been here 5 minutes (neither have i for that matter) i know for me and for some of the coaches i have chatted with Lady "luck" seems to come in waves.
The other thing to consider is maybe elves aren't your thing.

I see from your team and info pages you have quite a spread of teams and some have an ok record. Your overall win rate is 42% which is pretty good especially for a noob (i hate using that word)

Here are a couple of gems that someone told me early on......

if you don't want your GFI to fail then don't make it

make all the easy non dice roll moves first

and if your move is critical to scoring the winner or stopping your opponant from doing the same and can only fail on a 1 then expect to see a 1.
It doesn't come up every time but it makes those occasions when it does not so bad and the times when it doesn't all the better.

On the flip side you could always take to the bottle and join the D&D league where nobody really cares win or loose (even Seppuku, he just moans either way)

You see all you just said i know I dont make GFI if i dont need to..I dont make blocks i dont need to..I make the easy things first...I dont make a Dodge with an AG 4 player stunty player without having a reroll unless i have to..

But When i do cause i feel i have to to win or lose the game i fail it.

And no it dosnt come up EVER time but 6 in 10 is a lot more than the 2 in 10 it should be acording to statistics..

True i have won some games...Mostly cause those people I played had as bad luck or me or layed even worse than i did...Some of them n00bs who never tried the board game but who started here on my request.

failing 6 in 10 GFI is bad luck whatever you have to make them or not..

I actually like the idea about dumping the girlfriend better...although i know you only wrote what you wrote to give me some help..

i am a n00b but i have played some 50 games on the board aswell apart the ones i played here on fumbbl and i have never seen anything like the luck i have now..

Bad luck comes in Droves trust me.
I am on a loosing streak, which I have never tried before, and it hurts my pride most of all.
I too have concidered taking a break, but can´t get it over me.
Allthough I play less than usuall.
Best advise is to give it a break, and come back when U want too.

your problably right...i am like the addictive player on the casino hoping to win back what he lost and end up losing even more...

I simply cant stop , i keep hoping my luck will improve...and it never does...

If thats the case at least i will have something to look forward too.

Luck comes in droves, good and bad.

Just so very sad the bad luck clings to memory so much more...

Lucks one of those things you only notice when it goes wrong for you or good for your opponent , I know because i often bemoan my fate , for instance in one game i considered my self unlucky because a failed to pick up the ball for 3 turns when my opponent had no players on the pitch , i thought to myself man my luck sucks . But when I thought on it later the luck i had in dispatching his entire team was pretty awesome

The vets gets yelled at for mocking the "random" number generator. You will find it is anything BUT random. The same numbers are rolled about 20% of the time, which statistically speaking is very un-random (average would be 16%). I coiuld live with 15-17%.

The other side of the arguement is that its "random" for both coaches. So I've resigned myself to the fact its average number generator but its the best we got.

Basically what everyone is saying is that when you are down and out the best thing to do is to take a break from the game for a couple days or even weeks. I had to because it got to the point where i would fail my first dice rolling action every turn and I couldn't even play the game anymore. Came back a month later and life was back to normal. AKA win some lose some

Without any numbers to back this up, you probably shouldn't be making this assertion.

If we agree on that, then perhaps I can help out. Would you be interested in a script that would take a .log file and spit out every roll that your opponent made*, in order?

There might be a few d8 rolls mixed in, but that would be a neglible number. Do you think that a list such as this might help you either prove or disprove your theory?

I'm not out looking for an argument (today Wink ), simply a solution.

* - every roll that your opponent made because of the way that the log records the rolls. Your own rolls are mixed in with a bunch of other text, but your opponent's rolls clearly say, "Verified opponent's roll = " beforehand, so it will be easy to parse them all out of the log file.
