Hey,

I was wondering which teams are better than others in long term leagues (TR over 200). A friend played Woodelfs successfully but after a couple season at TR >200 the team didn't look so flash anymore.

I would like to here your thoughts.

It's not only about surviving. It's about being competitive at a high TR.

Unfortunately, I can't make a big poll. So I had to combine some races. Please specify in the thread.

I would say it depends on your style of play, orcs and dwarfs lasts forever, but they get less and less competetive, dark elfs and high elfs and pro elves are all good at high TR. Now, also, you forgot to put in halflings or goblins as a option =D

The best balance for both longevity and winning games would be orcs. Dark elves are able to win games, but if the rest of the league consists of bashers, they're going to have a hard time coming out of it alive. Orcs on the other hand have got high st players, comparatively cheap blitzers, and even one turn capabilities with the troll+goblin - they can both play ball and bash, so in the long run they are the best choice (see also: Warpstone cup race distribution).

I think Orks are good and also CDs. Dwarfs and Bulls last long, Hobos can be replaced and skilled easily. In our big german league DBL(which is a longterm leagus with relegation etc.) these both are the dominating teams. Elfs have some probs in longlatsing leagues cause they may not get recoverys in a league with only bashing teams.

AV 8 elves works better at higher TR [ ie they can stay at igh TR Wink ]

In my opinions chaos dwarves are the team to beat in long lasting league, acces to right tupes of players and monster armor...

Some teams are not meant to be played at the high TR. With that in mind, Skaven at around TR 200 or zons work nicely. These teams would have a high enough FF and cheap enough players to freeboot and boot their way through the league.... even with dorfs present.

It can only be the one and only overpowered race - ORCS.

The only reason not to take them is if you don´t want to feel cheap.

Well, orcs are cool... if you play without the boring combo of MB and DP for all...

What about humans?

humans are crap. armor 8 makes them as breakable as DE and HE. Agility 3 means they cant dodge away as easily as DE or HE which makes them even more vulnerable to hits from bashers, and less able to play "ball" with the elves. A dark elf team at high TR will outbash AND outball a human team.

Faulty logic.....look at the fumbbl cup...

humans - 1
khemri - 1
chaos - 4
delf - 8
orc - 8
dorf - 1
woodie - 2
rats - 4
helf - 1
cd - 1
undead - 1

delfs are right on par with the orcs....

can't really use one of the tournies as proof that one race is better than another...the amount of wins due to bad rolling, poor luck, or just one coach not showing up, doesn't put an accurate representation on the theory....

the only real way to say which is better long term, is all dependent on the coach....while one coach may be able to coach orcs to a massive win record, and minimal player turnover....a totally different coach may be able to do the same thing with delfs *shrug*....i'm alot better with delfs than i am orcs(granted, that's not saying much :-/), so i'd disagree with your opinion completely....just all depends on who's running the team.....
