Focus World Cup (Cyanide)
The Focus World Cup is a Tournament held by Focus. There will be a Winter and a SummerTournament. Each Tournament runs with 32 Teams. There will be 8 Groups with 4 Teams. You will play against everyone once. The 8 Winners will join a KO Tournament. The Final will be played in Paris. The Winner will earn at least 3000 Dollars, if he can beat the Winner of the SummerCup than he will be the World Champion and gets 5000 Dollars.
The full Tournament will held in NAF Style. 100TR Rookie Teams, Full reset of teams after each game, and One Skill after each game. Players cannot get more than one skill.
I am one of the lucky guys, who qualified for the Winter Tournament. I will blog about the Tournament and my games and experiance.
At the moment i am think about a race to choose. Cyanide wont give you much choices to choose one, these are the choices:
Dwarf, Dark Elf, Wood Elf, Skaven, Chaos, Goblin, Orc, Human, Lizardmen

What are you gonna go with race wise? Personally i dont like the new dark elves otherwise that would have been a valid option imo. I would prolly go with orcs my self though :)

Interesting. As far as I know, you need to be highly "ranked", to be qualified, is this true? I do own the game, so I'd be interested, if you could just join up for qualifiers =)

Congratz to making it to the final. I tried one of the qualifying tournaments but only got to the quarterfinal.

I quallified twice, one was a Qualification Tournament i won with Wood Elf, and i Won MatchMaking with Goblins (11/2/0) in January

I think I would go orcs from that list. They are the best at TR100 imo.
Grats on qualifying! I thought about having a go, but didn't have the time. Win it, and then at the final say, this Cyanide game isn't as good as Fumbbl. :D

I think some of the other Cyanide lamers who use questionable practices to qualify may get a nasty shock when they come up against real coaches like you.

Since there's a full reset after every match, and you won't be meeting TR 200 killer khemri, I'd go for frontloaded skaven. They're the easiest race to score with short-term, and with full reset, you won't have to worry abut losing players.
