Newquay Bowl 2010
So, a spur of the moment decision saw me spending the weekend down in Newquay, a charming coastal town populated by surfers during the day, and marauding gangs of superheroes* and strippers** during the night. No sunbathing on the beach for me though, but rather a couple of days lurking in a hotel basement for a small (just ten players) and friendly Bloodbowl tournament.
What's more, somewhat shockingly given my recent form online, I managed to go unbeaten over the six games, with five wins and a single tie, which was enough to give me first place. It took a fair bit of luck, and of course my bringing powergamey Dark Elves helped, but anyway, chalk up another tabletop win for FUMBBL and the WIL :)
Now I just need to decide what team to take for my prize...

*actual super powers were not greatly in evidence
**asking the young ladies to remove their few clothes in exchange for money may have mixed results

Gratz!

Maybe you would not have mixed results if you had asked the superheros to remove their clothing for money....you could have had more consistancy in the answers?
