claw is way over powered. he had 2 av10 guys which are great vs anyone but claw. like my report said he won. i quit trying to win as it was 2-0 and got a last turn td. could not get to the wolfs as they are way too fast.

Anecdotal evidence does not constitute proof. Also, highelfmage lost.

Clawpomb works wonders against bashy teams with high av, but it's horrendous against elf teams. Everything is as it should be.

Blah. What you mean is 'against some elves (pro and treeless wood) Pomb is better than clawpomb'. Sure. But regardless of the potentially wasted TV of claw, a cointoss and LoS removal followed by 7 turns of hunting with blitzes can usually destroy an elven team too.

Or, in a nutshell: elves can win while being totally dismantled, while most bashy teams at least need to stay competitive in the bashing to have a chance.

True, but nobody likes having his team killed in the process.

The point to me is more about fun, then balance. It is much more fun to me to lose vs elf, than vs clawpomb. Score on opponent side does not kill my players.

I agree that it is necessary to kill some players ocassionally to keep team development in check, but it happens more often than my liking would suggest.

Have I lost the plot here? I wasn't even playing as an elf team, it was Necros so I had my own claws (just minus the PO)
