“Comeback game after a 5-0 drubbing from a similar rated High Elf team (with even more niggles than the Dragon Riders had!) and Darkendedsune were in the "retire if bad loss" category.

However, a series of KOs, and constant near success with blocking meant I always outnumbered my opponent, who took that, and the 2 niggles suffered before the game, on the chin. Great sport :)

When the score was 1-1 I wasn't too worried - my blocking had meant I had greater numbers, but when the passing game of your opponent far outweighs your own (like, I have none, save for quick passes, and then not guaranteed) there's always a chance for a return score.

Luckily (for me) the kickoff results were good (Blitz on one) and 2-1 at half time, plus several High Elves off the field, and my two KO players recovered, meant it would be my day as decided by the dice.

Addictivebliss is a fine opponent - no whining, no moaning, just getting on with what got dealt him. Both sides had luck - his dodging game far outshone mine - but my blocking side (the team is built for a rushing, not passing game) meant the High Elves would be worn down eventually, and thinned out. That's what won the game for me.

Hard luck for you AB, but happy to give you the rematch when you've thinned out a few nigglers, and I dare say the result will be very different indeed next time.
