In a shrouded cavern, deep within the bowels of the earth a lone figure strode. The figure was wide and strong, powerful shoulders rippled beneath the cloak of crimson and black he wore. A massive helmet sat above his face, the face guard splattered in blood and gore. On his hip he wore skulls, still dripping, and next to them a horn of silver and gold. The figure stopped before a deep chasm from which a thread of steam arose. A bloody gauntlet brought forth the horn and it gave forth a howl, as deep as Hell, and just as demonic. The howl rang loud and long, echoing back and forth throughout the bowels of the deep. Thrice the figure called, and thrice the echo reverberated back to him. Silence thereafter. The figure stood like a bronze colossus, unmoved and solid as the rock all around. Until after what seemed like eons the silence was broken by the snap of jaw, and scratch of claw on stone. Bit by bit an enormous head became visible in the depths of the chasm. A Troll's face growled at the figure in Steel and crimson. A fist swung out and smashed into the Troll's face! "Suhgurim! Do you not know your master!" The voice was cold and slimy, like blood on ice, and it reached into the monster's puny brain and caressed it. "Master?! You Return?!" The beast spoke in the voice of gravel and dust. "Yes my pet. It is time to gather the Zealots and unleash the fury of the true believers...Blood calls and blood must be spilled." The voice whispered into the darkness. Behind the beast came the growling, clawing, and scratching of the horde. The master had returned." |
