It is the year 2005 and in a plot to wipe out the Rugby League worlds greatest team... The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. A consortium of other teams all with gripes (The Roosters concerned that no-one recognised them as the best team in 2002 because the real best team was kicked out of the competition for salary cap rorting, The Sea-Eagles for their defeat in 1995 as the ARL beacon against Super League and helped by a 7 tackle Try, The Tigers still bitter about the 1988 Grand Final with Ellery Hanley taken out by Terry Lamb ..all despite their win this year, and The Eels for so little success and for having to share their finest moments with the Bulldogs as joint teams of the 80's) under the guise of the now defunct ARL, commissioned a biological bomb that when detonated wiped out all those players past, present and future with affiliations to the Canterbury club. All hell broke loose at the mass funeral organised for the old stomping ground of Belmore oval, when it was revealed that longstanding Patriach of the club.. Peter "Bullfrog" Moore (thought dead these last 5 years) was in fact a powerful Necromancer. And wasnt he bitter at the treatment of HIS club at the hands of these cowards. Casting an immense Raise the Dead spell that blackened the sky, his beloved Bulldogs rose once more to compete on the football field... under the new name of The Cairntobury-Bankstomb Bulldogs. Searching for a compettion in which to prove themselves..and aware of the need to restrain the arrogance that had become prevalent in the clubs culture, the Bulldogs found themselves at the door of Commissioner Ozjesting of the Cut Throat League. They were to compete in a sport known as Blood Bowl. Not only that but this competition had a rather extreme salary cap that involved your fellow coaches voting for opposing players who were getting too big for their boots, and who in the Bulldogs case would be put back in the ground. No permanent injuries, two raised opponents, a full complement of Positionals by seasons end, and plenty of Winnings. 4 Kills in 4 games makes for a nice early reputation. A great start to the Bulldogs Bloodbowl career. The Player of the season was undoubtably Peter Tunks who shall have a shield named after him to be awarded to the best and unfairest Bulldogs player each season.
