The Burrowers welcome to the big leagues was a rough one as they had to play the Beastmen in a blizzard. Not accustomed to playing in such weather was quickly apparent as the frozen pitch was unforgiving keeping three players unconscious for most of the game after they were knocked down. A groin sprain will keep one player sidelined for a little while but the coach was optimistic that the team will be able to turn it around even though they are facing some pretty stiff competition. A back-to-basics approach will be taken while the team works on the fundementals of blocking and handing the ball off before the next game.

In a game the Burrowers would soon forget, the Painkillerzz scored four times while keeping the Burrowers out of the end zone. To add injury to that insult, the 'Killerzz lived up to their name by killing three Burrowers, Brill, New Guy, & Brack. The coach for the Burrowers refused to comment about the loss of 20% of his team but was overheard saying that more muscle would be needed in order to compete in this league. What this means can only be speculated on right now. Hopefully the Burrowers next opponents, the Angels, will be less bloodthirsty.

The Burrowers finally get one in the win column but it was a costly one. The Greentrees must have had some bad berries (never eat the red ones!) because five of their players ended up with a virus and were unavailable to take the pitch. Vanilla Ice of the 'Trees set the tone of the game when early on he killed the Burrowers star thrower Skur! It only got bloodier from there. By the end of the match there were badly hurt or seriously injured players on both teams. The 'Trees were only able to field three players near the end of the 2nd half and the Burrowers were able to take advantage of the situation and score the winning touchdown late in the game.
