Marianis Bluebloods

Nobody is quite sure where this hardy band of Elves is from; no-one knows who or where Marianis is. The members of the team and staff are notoriously tight-lipped on the matter, and it is well-known that it isn't a good idea to push them on this point - it generally results in the inquisitive individual leaving town very fast, after a short visit from several team members...

All that is known is that they showed up one day in a ship called the "Spirit of Marianis", and they were quite annoyed at having to enter the lower Faction divisions due to being held up in a storm...they intend to make it to the top, though, and aren't scared of who gets in their way...

After 5 games, things had not gone according to plan...just one win, and the rest drawn or lost, each of which could have been better but for simply terrible luck. Each match was a story of the failed dodge or pass which cost them a better result. Nevertheless, the lads were determined, and took heart from the promising development of some players.

After 11 games, their fortunes had totally changed, with 5 heavy wins and a draw, placing them 3rd in faction 4d - however corrupt officials blocked their promotion. The official in question has been dealt with, but these proud elves had to suffer the humiliation of another round of matches in the lower factions. Someone had to pay...

After 16 matches, they finally did it; they finished 3rd in f4c and got promoted to f3b. It wasn't all plain sailing, and they had to play a rapid game versus some very dirty goblins to beat the deadline.

After 20 matches, the Bluebloods finished top of f3b with 3 wins and 1 loss, and were promoted to f2a.

After 23 matches, they were the highest scoring team in factions for several rounds until business elsewhere called them away.


After several year at sea, the proud team members have returned to the shores of the Old World - only to discover their traditional Faction competition had been wound down. Undaunted, they've now registered to compete in the Ranked division amongst FUMBBL's best.

Update - 28/03/2011:
The Bluebloods bled profusely in their first Warpstone Open Qualifiers, conceding 20 casualties in their short 2 match campaign. A few old faces have departed, and it's time to rebuild.
