Lustrian Challenge V Qualifier XIV
Warpstone Open VIII Qualifier II
Top dark elf team of 2513 (shared 1st place)
Plan to stay lowish TV, stick with the -AG linos for now, and save up a decent amount of cash.
Retired Killer Weeds and half of Paradise Lust (both because of losing, not because of damage dealt).

As my first seriously developed team, the team of the spider queen has seen an amazingly quick rise to power. Gaining 2 +STs in their 4th match made the team very promising. This event was the start of an 8-match winning streak, and those strong players Arali and Rarakod remained the hallmark of the team for a long time. If I ever win the fumbbl cup I'll bring Arali back to life, and Rarakod back into shape, restoring the team to lino glory.
After 120 games (with a nice even 70/20/30 record), the team took a huge dive from 1970 to 1590 TV with the death of two great players.
Hall of fame:
My first ever superstar Mayne (23 TDs in 20 games) was killed in a bashfest.
He will be missed.
This team's most prominent player was big guy Arali. He was killed by a thrown rock on turn 16 in a bloodless match, shortly after I had used my apo to turn a KO on Rarakod into a stun. Being strength 5, his guard was a central point of stability for the team on both offense and defense.
Former Team captain Banehdir had to retire. When his -AV led to a niggle on his first game back on the pitch, he realized he was becoming too much of a target and was holding the team back.
Like Banehdir before him, Elirido became too much of a target to safely keep on the pitch. With armor value 5, it was time to say goodbye.
Wardancer Treyk was the team's top scorer when he died (because the apo cured a KO on a bug/misclick!). He was also the only player on the team ever to score a chainpush OTTD
Mayne II was an incredibly good sacker. I had already decided that I would use both my kickstarter sponges to cure his niggles, but they were not yet available, and I had to fire him to win the WO VIII semifinals.
Bashy witch Etanafu IX suffered the same fate as Mayne II. She was fired to get a wizard in a matchup where her AV6 would have made her too much of a target.
Orzul was a great hitter and defender. He was my first ever legend.
Warpstone witch was an amazing surfer, whose carreer was unfortunately very short.
Banehdir the second, like his predecessor, made for a versatile AG5 runner. Later in his carreer, he performed a vital additional function as the team's only guarder.
Ulthuan Invitational 2011 qualifier: out in round 1 against undead with 3 bribes and 3 dp's.
Grotty Little Tournament qualifier: Won first match with a 4-0 win against LRB4 dwarves with an instafail chainsaw and a one-turn forced-to-field deathroller.
Lost match 2 in a close battle against reigning champions Rata Blanca.
Lustrian Challenge 2011 qualifiers: Won! First game beat chaos due to my first chainpush OTTD ever. Then brutally maimed the wood elves in round 2. Managed a win against the qualifinal wood elves, but at the expense of a -AV on the runner superstar.
Lustrian Challenge 2011 final 16:
First game was a win against KenThis' Pact. The second was a tie against Dhaktokh's crossdressers. The third was a win against Hitonagashi's inducement-fueled delves.
Then, in the finals of the swiss, I lost hard to Malmir's clawpomb, in a match that was decided mainly by the cointoss and his first turn of blocks. This also got me another -AV and retirement for my runner. This left me tied with Dhaktokh for second place in points, but coming in third because of tiebreaker points. All in all not a bad run: the only team to beat me won the tourney, and the only team to tie vs me came in second.
FUMBBL Cup X:
Very similar to GLT qualifiers: beat deathroller dorfs in round 1 (though by a very small margin), then knocked out by Rata Blanca again in round 2. The match was really close again, but his oneturner did his job, and I failed my 2+ passing play on turn 16 due to lack of rerolls, thus not getting to OT.
GLT 2012 qualifiers: Dark elves, dark elves, dark elves! My wizard won me the first game (though I got my sacker niggled, my opponent's wizard (and the absence of my sacker) won him the second one.
Warpstone Open VIII:
Won the first game against Legions of Ogrimmar despite their dark elf tourney prize and their wizard. Wound up winning the qualifier.
Main event: Got past Tiny Steel Hammers in the quarterfinal with an incredible amount of luck, despite a 1 on a lightning bolt.
Beat Old School DJ by firing two great players to be less vulnerable and get a wiz.
Lost the finals to Lone Stars.
