--Poisoned Scratch--
Roster [R] Skaven
Took a massive mauling in the 46th game that gave the team an opportunity to take stock and reset some poor choices in the past. 47th game is going to be tough, back to the rookie days of old, but then we'll welcome back the killers and get right back in the mix.

47th was indeed tough... but no lasting damage. Couldn't keep enough on the pitch for the second half, but blew a couple of chances to win or keep it level as Nuffle decided I'd had enough fun. The team's weak state attracted Fezglitch to help us out but he vanished at half time and our warpstone hoard is nowhere to be seen either. Next game we'll have the big hitters back, and they're poised for new skills too.

48th. Dirty Cranberries are a player up after Hak Quorkal decided he'd rather play for them. Scamper Quickclaw is now back down to normal speed (it doesn't seem worth potioning him...) but other than that we held together reasonably well and stole a couple of TDs. Fun game!

49th. Grinding game against Dark Elves coached by the top chap Joe. We were ground. When he comes back Slit will be doing his guarding in a very tentative way with his new, thinner armour. Using The Monster was fun. He really needs Mighty Blow now... unless I roll Claw...

50th. Wow. I literally had no rats on the pitch. The Monster has slowed down again, presumably due to all the extra weight he's carrying. The Khemirian Angry Newscasters are irate enough, but fortunately not at all interested in scoring so we held the draw... not bad considering there was no-one from the Scratch on the pitch. No lasting effect other than some MNG and the twisted legs of The Monster.

51st. Had the chance to gnaw at some Elves. First drive was epic, with the ball going from 1 TZ to the other in one turn (thanks to the crowd and a legendary loner who needs to get hired). I had some pretty helpful luck and will be sacrificing some captured gobbos to the Verminuffle tonight.

52nd. Oof. Not much permanent damage... but my God the Verminuffle was unhappy with my last sacrifice! We ventured into some very sunny woods and apparently that is something we should never do. In the last turn we seriously injured a tree. That pretty much sums it up.

53rd. Really tense stuff against the Orcs. Managed to hold for 8 turns in the first half then nicked a cheeky touchdown early in the second, shifting the ball about 22 squares downfield in one play (well done Gutters). Then we were on to a difficult test... hold again with depleted numbers. In the very last turn an Orc thrower stood up, dodged, went for it to pick up in a tackle zone, dodged away on a second go for it and hurled it to a blitzer who'd had to blitz his way into the end zone... all pulled off sublimely with no re-rolls... but not the catch, which was fumbled into the crowd to end the game! So close!

54th. Well! That could have gone better. I think the team are upset about me sacking Eva Carniverat after that Apo issue at the start of the season. The lads just didn't want to perform and I was seeing 1s everywhere I looked. Some more rookie mistakes meant that I wasn't good enough to ride the luck and we slumped to a 3-1. It hurt. But I won't feel it as much as the sacrifices will as we try to cajole the Verminuffle into treating us better next time!

55th. The most ridiculous game ever. 4 Orcs sent off and we had the most awful luck but still were 3-0 up until H2T8. Bizarre. The Verminuffle blessed us with a couple of Blitzes, one of which we completely failed to make the most of. 6 rats in the dead 'n' injured box, but The Monster survived again. The ranking for next game is going to slump like a rat that's just been punched in the gut by a Black Orc.

56th. Oh dear. Played an all-skeleton team who completely turned us over. The KO box was jam packed full so at least there was no permanent damage. Despite going down to 4 players we still stood a chance to equalise on the last turn. Almost got the touchback, but Kikka had to run back, pick up the ball, go for it twice for a 5+ throw to Scamper. And it worked! But Scamper was having one of those games and cocked it up, despite being AG5. Hero. 2-1 down, but it could have been much, much worse.
