The Story of Grimey's Limeys goes back to last autumn when Countess Synthia Poxbottom was hosting what would later be described as the event of the season. Baron Von Limey and his arch rival the Baron Volkersneezen we're discussing the results of the last SWL season. Baron Volkersneezen had a corporate box for the grand final and was discussing the prowess of the sportsmen when Baron Von Limey cut him off mid description with a rather bored tone of voice.
"I don't see what all the fuss is about really"
Moustaches we're stroked, evil stares traded and subtle yet pointedly barbed insults were clevely disguised in false compliments. The exchange was leading inexorably to a duel when Countess Synthia Poxbottom interjected. Worried that the death of someone of import would dampen the spirits or worse the reputation of her party, she suggested a friendly wager.

And so it was that for a single pound of silver Baron Von Limey agreed to survive a single season in the SWL. He arranged for his closest friends to play with him and each agreed to bring their staff of manservants in order to make up 11. It irked Baron Von Limey to be playing with such filthy peasants but after their first training session it had become clear that they were in fact more adept at, well most everything.

"Graham then, not that it matters. Be a good chap and fetch that ball for us" Limey would say, pausing only to light his pipe. "Oh and when you've run it into the endzone bring me a cane so i can teach you a damn lesson about talking back"

The papers aren't saying much about the Limey's chances this season. However the Bookies are showing it as favorite to win, mainly due to the sizeable sum which Von Limey himself has placed upon the team to win.
