1 INTRODUCTION

Apart from the Major seasons, the FBBF has established many other tournaments to be able to milk fans during the entire year. Many regions in the world hold their own championships and offer smaller open tournaments for aspiring young teams of wannabe future Major champions. On top of that, Chaos as well as the Empire-lead Alliance host 1 Master event each to rally their fans.

The 7 championships (the Bretonian is called Grand Prix for historical reasons), which are played in major regions of the world, are accompanied by 3 smaller local events, the so-called opens. Each of the 21 opens is hosted by one of the 21 races, the championship is hosted by the 3 races of the associated opens. While championships and opens reserve several slots for the most popular and powerful teams of their race, everyone is welcome theoretically. The 2 masters are different in that aspect, they usually don't invite teams from the enemy and are more exclusive in nature, though there have been exceptions (who doesn't remember the pitiful halflings of the Dreiflussen Crunchies which were supposed to "play" Khornes Khaos Khrunch Khrackers in round one of the Chaos Masters and were mistaken as appetizers by the Khracker's troll).

Winning these prestigious events does not only grant glory and fame but also a qualifying slots for the Altdorf (championship) and Tilean Invitationals (opens), where the greatest teams meet to play out the yearly championships.

CHAMPIONSHIPS / OPENS

 - 7 championship / open events are sported by the FBBF (FUMBBL
   Blackbox Federation).
 - Each event consists of 4 tournaments with 16 slots each and will
be run as weekly knockout tournaments
 - A coach can apply to each tournament with one team
 - There are 4 TR-brackets with 4 different maximum TR-limits:
TR-brackets for the Opens depend on a race's FBBF racial rankings,
whereas there is, theoretically, no TR-limit for
Championships (The Bretonnian Championship is called Grand
   Prix for traditional resons)
 - TR-limits for Opens: There are 21 different TR-limits for the
21 Open events, from 100 to 200 in increments of 5 TR. The
TR-limit is correlated with the FBBF racial rankings. (e.g.
The Open for the best performing team would have a TR-limit of
   200, 2nd best 195 ... 21st 100
 - Teams applying from the host race may exceed the TR-limit by 5.
 - Championship only: 3 slots are allocated to the most popular host
team of the 3 hosting races (highest FF, tie-breakers: TR,
application date). 3 more slots are allocated to the allegedly
strongest team of each host race (highest TR, tie-breakers: FF,
   application date).
 - TR-floor for the Championship equals the highest TR-limit of the
   3 correlated Opens
 - Remaining slots are assigned to teams by TR (tie-breaker:
   application date)
 - Championship only: A team can not participate if its TR exceeds
the TR of the host race team with the highest TR
 - The TR-brackets for the 3 Opens are allocated to races by their
   last season's Majors performances
(points / number of participants, win = 2 points, draw = 1 point)

5 MASTERS

 - 2 Masters events are hosted by the FBBF each season
 - A master consists of up to 64 teams and will be run as a weekly
knockout tournament (if there are less than 64 applicants,
the tournament will run with 32 (or 16) teams)
 - Each coach can apply with any one team.
 - TR-floor: TR 175
 - 16 (8/4) slots allocated to those host teams with highest FF.
 - The remaining slots are allocated by TR to host and neutral race
   teams.
 - Teams from unsolicited races are only considered if there are less
than 64 (32/16) valid applicants from the host and neutral race.
 - Teams from unsolicited races must not exceed the TR of the host
   team with the highest TR
(if this would lead to a tournament with less than 64 (32/16)
applicants, consider unsolicited applicants one by one, starting
   with lowest TR teams first)

- PRIZES

 - Winning any tournament: FF+1
 - Winning a Championship and / or Master:
A slot in the upcoming Altdorf Pro-League Invitational for the
   victorious team
 - Winning an Open:
A slot in the upcoming Tilean Invitational for the victorious
   team

6 FBBF RACIAL RANKINGS

 - The FBBF racial rankings are based upon racial Major
   performances during the last season
 - Current FBBF racial rankings link (including explanations)

 - All 9 events to be launched in non-Major months (Chaos Pact Masters
preferrably hold during winter, Alliance Masters during summer)
 - FBBF could be anything (e.g. FBBA - FUMBBL Blackbox Association)
 - Profiles would show FBBF Athel Loren Open 2010 as won tournament,
   for instance.
