 - General requirement:
Applying teams must have played 10 or more games
   during the last 3 months

 - A player can win awards in more than one category
 - Dead or retired players can win awards (bad luck!), in
that case FF+1 is forfeited as well (the crowd wants to see
the heroes dead, but it is not interested in dead heroes)
Most likely a perfect recipe for disaster, as tragedy and
drama are, hopefully, bound to occur =]
 - Redundant skills are forfeited (even more bad luck!)
 - Rookie Award:
Allocated to the rookie with most tournament SPPs
(must not have played prior to the tournament)

 - All prizes are allocated after the tournament has finished

 - Tie breakers for player awards:
   1) SPPs acquired in the tournament
   2) Non-MVP SPPs acquired in the tournament
   3) Better performing team (whichever advanced further)
   4) More overall SPPs
   5) Higher FF
   6) More overall games played (carreer)
   7) Older player hiring date

This is just an overview. Further information with regard to the 3 cups is to be found under respectively linked wiki-pages.
