Looking at the B tables you can see the number of teams that play.
But lets face it, for alot of the nonbashing teams maintaing a team above 175 ts is really hard. So I would agree, if you play 200ts orcs you are going to get orcs, chaos or dwarves.
However at a ts of 130-150 is it really that bad?
I'd say no.
What the B tables don't show is the number of games each team has played. It weights that orc team you got bored of after 5 games the same as your fav woodies team going on 50 games.
I'm willing to ignore that my last 2 games were against dwarves, because before that I can't remember playing dwarves.
Is it just me or what? |

At the moment of typing, the blackbox central shows 2156 teams. Out of those teams, 908 (over 42%) are Orc, Dorf, Chaos or Khemri. Not exactly diversity.

Yes indeed. Above TS180, non-bahsers are really rare.

Of course it`s not, because it`s not really a challenge to get any team (with the exception of stunties) there.

I don`t know.. I rather have the general feeling that more coaches are going for a tough race, when they make their 'main team' and retire speedy teams, when they got broken. But lets look on the tables, taking the 30 teams with the most games and seeing how many games they have played:
Woodies - total 1046 games - #30 has 19 games
Skaven - total 1328 games - #30 has 22 games
Dark Elf - total 1143 games - #30 has 23 games
Dwarves - total 1464 games - #30 has 34 games
Orcs - total 1845 games - #30 has 41 games
Chaos - total 2046 games - #30 has 43 games
So we can see, that there are not only more bashy teams in the box, but also those teams are more likely to play alot of games.

Yes, it`s probably just you playing in a range, where diversity isn`t that bad. |

So the point shifted to: heavy AV teams lasts longer and go higher in TR/TS?
It seemed pretty evident.
By the way, if coch A retire a light team to create another one, that doesn't hurt the diversity. |

humm... until now ... every team i played longer then 10 games became TR 200 in no time.... even tho I managed to revert a team back to 160... I think it's actually hard to keep them that low....
just from looking at the stats you can easily tell, opponents are very diversile.... but of course you won't be able to pick that much and eventually teams will get stuck at some point..... but that's so not TR 180.....
...if you go to 220 on the other hand... you will most likley run out of opponents.....
...ah well it's not much different from R is it?... |

Yes, the diversity is a bit of an issue. I've played 33 games in the box so far (yes, I know, not a lot) and faced 15 different races. So far that looks quite good, but if you look at the actual numbers about 20% of the games are against orcs, 12% against chaos - and high elves for some reason - and so on. Sadly, with the BWR* available I think that we won't see these number change in the first place, since maintaining a strong team and winning games over time means choosing orcs, chaos and dorfs (at least that seems to be true for most longer tournaments).

I take this as evidence why the Black Box will be(come) the Bash Box. |

I don't. You run usually one tournament team that is an orc, chaos or elf team anyway. |

now why would you chose chaos. If you stay under 200 Chaos aint a strong team.
And you properly lack the last option as you wrote it but did not add it. you got to add every poll voting option

my stats show 52 games played. I have 9 games against c.dorfs and 6 against dorfs. The rest are all around the 2-4 game mark. I can't say i particularly care about the diversity.
I find at high TS i am more likely to play nastier teams that bash me down, then at the middle to low TS i play softer teams to build back up again. So it all works out nicely for me. I think that if more elf coaches stopped being so cowardly and took the plunge they would find the majority of their game were against other softer teams, because that is the level the softer teams hang around more often. |
