So I was typing in a different window, java popped up the APO message in my game for a KO, i was hitting the enter key just as this was happening and it used APO on a KO result, I'm living with this mistake for now but isnt there something that can be updated for the default client options? change the default from yes to no for KO APO uses, or make it so it doesnt pop up automaitcally for everything? |

And by the way I've done the same in turn 2 of a game using elves.
Flinched every block after that |

There's a few of these. Kick off is another, if you are making players or talking.
I suffer a lot from misclicking the wrong thing with the current client. I do generally play unsober though....... |

Happened to me several times and it sucked. I too wonder if it could been changed, since it doesn't happen if the client asks for a decision concerning optional skill usage. |

Wasn't there a massive discussion about this, and popups generally, quite recently? |

If you ask me, in a game where we want to chat with opponent, this kind of important pop-ups should not be activated by the keyboard, or at least not steal focus.
That said, when I'm typing, if I hear a KO/CAS sound, I usually stop at once, because I want to check what happened asap, so never had this problem
The only problem I have sometimes is when trying to label players and it ends up as a message for my opponent, but it's no big deal. They must just think I say weird things |

this is not a client issue, it is a lack of attentiveness issue |

It is a client issue if the pop-up nature of these windows interferes even with typing in the in-game chat. If you are hitting the enter key on a message you are typing right when the window pops up, no level of attention you pay will stop it from accidentally selecting the default choice. |

If you look at the field before hitting enter you can see if a player is about to suffer an armour roll.
Still it would be nice if hitting a key didn't affect apo decisions. |

I think it's a client issue. Chatting or marking players and pressing enter and either picking a coin or using an apo, shouldn't happen IMO. |

This.
The functionality certainly exists, it's now common in installation software when it comes to the executable pop-up option of saving/running file, it is dead for a second or so and/or until you click on it, which then makes the option available. This would be a suitable and useful addition. |
