Indeed we did, Calcium's cas dice through the first half were so bad, inducements worked well, and we got the luck where we needed it. I was equally astounded. Though to be fair, I thought he over-relied on getting damage and his positioning was pretty bad, practically giving me the first score. |

Not an expert at rebuilding but for me they will all have to go eventually.
I would fire the blitzer and lino for now. |

I'd keep the niggly Thrower, +AG is too good to pass up (hah!) and blodge should help keep the niggle from being too much of a factor.
The rookie niggly Lino is an obvious cut.
I think it depends on your playstyle who you don't like out of the gimpy Blitzer and the paper-armor Catcher. If you are good at protecting the Catcher and like the OTT threat, keep Asa and cut Vera. If you like getting into slugfests, though, you can park Vera in one spot and pivot the play around her Guard, especially if she levels up and takes Stand Firm. In that case (and that's what I'd do personally) then I'd cut Asa and keep Vera so you don't have that AG3 AV6 liability to protect. Besides, Asa is #13, and that's bad luck! |

The blitzers job is to hit and cause pain. He can still do that on the LoS with -ma and -ag. I'd keep him until you have better killers. Even on a doubles, Jump Up is good, as Piling On comes after. KEEP.
+AG on a thrower who should never really take hits anyway is too good. Keep his ass too, regardless. If he does get hit, he deserves to die anyway, but he will win you games in the meantime. Well.. his AG4 pick-ups will prevent some unlucky losses that occur at least.
The niggled lino and the av6 catcher are useless. Fire the lino.. as he will just cause you to be shorthanded by turn 2 most games, and the catcher is too expensive for av6.
Keep up the excellent work though. The Babes suck and deserve losses at the hands of real men. Way to give them the back-hand. |

Deffo cut the lino. Catcher is a real shame as he had potential if he had got +Ag but cut him too. The thrower is keepable, he shouldn't get hit too much and at least he has blodge if he is. The blitzer is also keepable as he is still fine at hitting things. |

Rebuilding humans, eh?
Cash is a concern for now, with 140k in the bank there's not that much room for wholesale replacement - personally I think old humans in the box need about 500k in the bank for that series of 5 games when you need to replace your entire blitzer squad and half a dozen linemen. Heck you could be in the middle of that 5 game series right now and not know it!
The blitzer can hang about for a little bit - your other 3 could all skill next game, so they will be able to start taking more of the glory plays, the injured guy is probably destined for screening and blocking - but depending on development of the other 3 he could be cut in maybe 5-10 games time.
The thrower is blodge and ag4 which is just golden. Even though I hate nigglers, he's a keeper for now.
The catcher isn't far off another skill, you could keep him and see what that next skill roll is. If it's +Ag (or maybe +Ma) you could keep him as a OTTD specialist.
Most importantly you're going to need to buy linemen. Even cutting the catcher, when your other MNG return you're going to be sitting on 10 men, with only one being suitable for line duty. You need to buy 2 more after the journeymen go home. So if the catcher is cut, don't replace him until you've got more cash to burn. |

Cheers folks for the advice & opinions.
The rookie lino was an obvious one, so he got replaced immediately; I figured 5 jmen was slightly better than 6. I got a draw in my recovery game against some 0 rr CDs, and a nice chunk of cash (60k) so that helps a little.
As my 148 SPP DP lino probably makes clear, I'm not much of a TV optimiser, so I think I'll keep Vera (-MA -AG blitzer) and Lennart (niggled thrower) for now, and I'm going to try one game with Asa (-AV catcher) to see if I can protect her sufficiently and hopefully get her to her next skill. Also, keeping them all and buying a lino puts me on 12 men and 1610 TV, which keeps me just in Prem range for my next game. Gotta get that sprint in... |

Keep Lennart until he dies or suffers -av/-ag/-st. Those pickups and being a caddy for runes if the opportunity presents itself... |

I'd proudly like to report this smash of a game versus a huge nurgle team.
Somehow my teams seem to get fired up by the prospect of being the underdog!
The Contenders are almost in HLP range, and will try to complete a sprint this season!

Proud to announce the Challenged Contenders are the first to set a HLP sprint for this season. With a mediocre score of 38 (7/1/8 ) points it's all very beatable.
So get to it, coaches, we can't have a mere 7 wins out of 16 at the top of the HLP, have at it! For humanity!
The team is still in their best form so far, (sporting a nasty oneturner ((who never oneturned thus far)) I'm most likely gonna keep playing them.
The HLP really adds to the box experience, and gives just that bit more tension towards a game. Glad to be a part of it now. |

The Knights of the Last Order have just celebrated their 100th game!
Been an interesting season for the Knights. Sir Galahad is the only surviving original member and Gareth Sir Gareth becomes their first Legend.
It will be their second Prem sprint so will also join the ranks of the 'Slobberknockers'
It started well but things went quickly down hill.
Here is to the next 100! |
