In a match that anasdrin and myself (Underworld vs Orcs) are currently playing, an induced Fezglitch hits a prone Skaven blitzer, doesn't break armour, but then continues to move on.
I was always led to understand from my tabletop games that whenever secret weapons (fanatics or bombardiers) hit their own players and you have to roll armour, that it'd be a turnover.
Is this a bug in the system, or have I always used my fanatics wrong? |

I believe the client is correct.
Turnovers happen because of a failed action, for example a failed dodge, not because you have to roll armor. Also, if the intention was that this event should cause a turnover, I believe the authors would have explicitly put it in the rule for the 'Ball & Chain' skill, similarly to what they did with the 'Throw Team-Mate' skill. |

Cheers for the link, eldritchfox, that certainly helped.
If I read that correctly, though, that then also means if Fezglitch (in this case) would've injured the Skaven blitzer through his move, it also wouldn't have counted as a turnover?... Cause then I've definitely been playing it wrong for a long time. |

You only cause a turnover if you knock your own player over. The blitzer was already down so no turnover. Well, that's what I always thought it was, anyway. I have no idea what it actually says in the rules.
Edit: If you bomb your own player over its a turnover for sure. |

A player on your team being injured is not a turn over unless they were knocked down first.
It is the being knocked down that causes a turnover not the injury.
As Selfy said if you hit your own prone player with a bomb they are treated as being Knocked Down even if already prone.
Taken from crp
TURNOVERS
Normally, a turn only ends when all of the players in the team
have performed an Action. However, certain events cause the
turn to end before all of the players have taken an Action. These
events are called turnovers. The following events cause a
turnover:
1. A player on the moving team is Knocked Down (being injured
by the crowd or being Placed Prone is not a turnover unless it is
a player from the active team holding the ball; e.g. skills like
Diving Tackle, Piling On and Wrestle count as being Placed
Prone) or
2. A passed ball, or hand-off, is not caught by any member of the
moving team before the ball comes to rest or
3. A player from the moving team attempts to pick up the ball
and fails (note: failing a catch roll, as opposed to a pick up, is by
itself never a turnover) or
4. A touchdown is scored or
5. The four-minute time limit for the turn runs out or
6. A pass attempt is fumbled even if a player from that team
catches the fumbled ball or
7. A player with the ball is thrown or is attempted to be thrown
using Throw Team-Mate and fails to land successfully (including
being eaten or squirming free from an Always Hungry roll) or
8. A player is ejected by the referee for a foul. |

Yeah, in the bombadier skill description it states that a bombed player is treated as knocked down even if they were already down. So bombs are an exception to the above rules. |

Its worth noting, the fanatic does have a major bug in the client in that if he hits a stunned player and he fails their armor roll the player becomes prone. |

Any bug that happens multiple times a game and affects the outcome is major. It probably just isnt a priority due to being on a stunty team. |

What? Multiple times a game? Surely you jest, sir?
With a Snotling stunty team its not unusual to have three ball and chains on the pitch at the same time. I've never even noticed it happen, that's how minor it is. |

I demand to see a replay where this truly dastardly bug happened multiple times and then the downed player got up and affected the outcome of the game. |

It rarely affects the outcome because they are usually next to a fanatic regardless next turn, but relezite plays gobs enough to see everything at least once. I've seen it myself. |
