As seen in this game on the goblins turn 2: https://fumbbl.com/p/match?op=view&id=3748732
The ball&chain rolls for GFI before making the GFI move (and throwing block dice)
As per the CRP rules under GFI "Roll a D6 for the player after he has moved each extra square."
Therefore the ball&chain must move and maybe throw block dice before rolling for GFI.
This is also seen on the Nafs clarification page http://www.thenaf.net/blood-bowl/rules/clarifications/
"If a B&C player goes for a GFI you roll direction first, then resolve the block, then roll the GFI"
So should this be reported as a bug or? |

rulebook ball and chain description wrote: | If during his Move Action he would move into an occupied square then the player will throw a block following normal blocking rules against whoever is in that square[...] The player must follow up if he will push back another player and will then carry on with his move as described above.[..] |
Key word "he would move" and "will throw a block". He would move to the square and then roll for the GFI. Instead he rolls for the GFI and then throws the block.
But seeing as NAF has clarified that rule, I guess it would be worth looking at bug reports section if it hasn't been reported already. |

Well, it fits the fluff that he throws the block first - the b&c is following movement rules, not blitz, so he's not throwing a block to knock a player back and then moving in, he's dragged by the weight of the b&c into the space occupied by the opponent: as a result, it's exactly like moving into an empty space - he's going to hit the oppponent with the b&c anyway, and then, as he loses momentum and is "stopped", the chain wraps around him, knocking him out. The opponent should still get whacked though - just as if you fail a movement gfi, the player is placed prone in the empty space you just basically slipped/fell into. |

It's like on a blitz when you have to GFI. |

Well, it makes sense to throw the block first with a B&C and then roll for the GFI. |
