For me: Tentacles and Guard in that order. |

Tents and Guard are both good on an UW Troll. I've tried both as first skill. I tend to favour Guard > Claw > Tents with Block on doubles. I'd leave Break Tackle til later (though that's my first pick on Goblin Trolls) |

Depends how you play. I would've taken tents then guard if going claw first route, guard first otherwise. |

What is skill choice priority for UW troll? Assuming block on doubles and a couple claws on the Skaven
Guard, tents, claw, stand firm, break tackle?
I could see swapping guard with tents, and claw with SF in that ordering.. thoughts? |

i have found break tackle to be VERY useful with the block claw combo, although i see most of you tend to leave it for a later stage. my team really misses guard though... |

The thing about break tackle on an UW troll is that you will be tempted to blitz with it, when regular blitzers might have done the same job just as well (or even better). I would have gone with tentacles as well. I would take break tackle before stand firm though, after that, because I find more valuable to be able to move the troll where he will be a hindrance, even if he might get pushed, rather than not being able to move him at all if the action shifts. |

I played you last night (I guess this morning for you) with my Undead. You used your Troll's Block and Claw a lot, but Break Tackle you mostly didn't risk.
My Undead had a S6 Mummy with Break Tackle, who also didn't try to break any tackles.
Guard and Claw > Tents > Stand Firm and Break Tackle, if you asked me. |

after having played a few games with tentacles against varied opponents, my advice would be GET GUARD! GUARD, not tentacles, couldn't even hold halflings. GUARD people! |

I see the skill choice making this troll a Blitzer, a marker or an assister.
Guard works if he is an assister, then stand firm.
A marker, well were talking tentacles and maybe tackle on the next doubles (Pro is a good idea for him too).
If he is a blitzer or sacker, Grab or Jugs. Your Vermin are probably better in that role. |
