New coach here. After my last game I got lucky and rolled Doubles for a Blitzer, and my Ogre (his second, has BLOCK already).
Stats/Skills below,
Ogre, 5-5-2-8 (Skills: BLOCK, -1 AV)
Blitzer, 7-3-3-8 (Skills: TACKLE)
I'm considering ignoring the doubles and taking GUARD on the Ogre and MB on the blitzer.
Doubles choices would be PRO for the Ogre (he already has block) and DODGE for the blitzer.
Or a mix of both.
What are peoples thoughts? |

Dodge on Blitzer, Blodge is epic.
And Pro on Ogre, never waste a team reroll on him again! |

Thoughts:
Context - since you have no teams on FUMBBL, you need to specify where they are playing. Table top league? BB2 Cyanide COL ladder? etc. If it's a short league, the advice will be a lot different than an open matchmaking environment like BB2 (where piling on is an option)
Also...polls need a pie option or no vote from me! |

Pro is nice on a second doubles. Depends if you think you can get the Ogre a few more skills. If you give the Ogre Dodge, and then guard and stand firm, you will have a very annoying road block that can't be pushed anywhere except for a Jugs. blitz.
Short term- pro gives some nice benefits. So does dodge, to keep him on his feet. Long term, a blodging, guarding, stand firm Ogre is a nightmare. You don't even need to activate him, and risk bone head, to take advantage of his nearly immovable guard. |

Dodge on the ogre and break tackle on the next skill.
Dodge on the the blitzer and Tackle or MB on the next skill. |

Pro is the best choice. 50% less annoyed at your powerhouse.
Side-Step on the blitzer is the unconventional choice that will cause your opponents to make more mistakes, and open up more possibilities for you. Otherwise, dodge, if you play high level coaches who won't be fooled or overlook the SS player. |

Pro for the Ogre (consider firing him though, as he has -AV) and Dodge for the Blitzer if you are at low TV, Diving Tackle if you are at high TV because Tackle is more common.
Dodge is generally better. |

If you really like using your ogre to do stuff, get pro.
If you like having it stand around and be a giant roadblock, dodge. Then with break tackle and guard it can give your opponents fits. (Would you want to mark an ogre who has block with one of your tackle players?)
Mind you, with -AV the ogre's not as good a roadblock as he could be.
As for the blitzer, it's hard to say because you're asking about players in teams not on FUMBBL. But you can't go wrong with either dodge or sidestep if you want to keep the double result, or mighty blow or guard as a single result.
I'd be inclined to say dodge, to force your opponent to have to use a tackler (or hope for the 11/36 POW on two dice) to knock your blitzer down. |
