Need more guard. Less comparing between other teams who have big counters to you (especially since most of them don't choose much guard for some reason). Av9 is still av9 against everybody except the handful who can put both claw AND MB on a player (new claw on its own is the same vs av9 as old claw was). Orcs with their high natural strength and ability to guard spam should still easy control most bash teams, and it should be about 50/50 against clawmb spam (unless they're some rare breed which also has guard). Instead of trying an arms race you'll lose to a handful in pure damage skills (Orcs still have the two best/most flexible in PO/MB), concentrate on what wins blocking games - natural strength complimented with lots of guard. No one's saying they're better in a head to head vs Chaos, but they have other strengths against the many other races (a not-terrible Big guy, AV9 more prevalent, starting ahead in skill development). Luckily the entire league isn't just Orcs vs Chaos, and there are other races...
Perhaps also maybe the people more inclined towards this sort of build tend to choose other races (Dorfs, Cdorfs, Chaos, et al). That said, I think the Wanja Warriors look nice & Dazed is also playing well (even if he lacks a bit of guard imo).
EDIT: RE LRB Disadvantage: I suppose he means the difference in TV caused by being massacred by a different bash team is now papered over somewhat by inducements when playing the next bash team  |

Okay, I meant 'in comparison to 4.0' rather than 'is generally unfair'.
Just saying that in 4.0 everyone had aging rolls, but getting a high TV side was a bit easier for bash sides due the survivability of their players. Same is true now, except getting that higher TV isn't a big deal anymore.
Mind you I think it's great that SWL doesn't have the TV limit on reggies/ conf. |

This is true. This season was supposed to be the one where I loaded up on Guard in preparation for a Prem run but although the results have been ok, it hasn't been a good season for skill ups with low scoring games and SPPs stuck on players already at 31. |
