Alright, this is a whiny unburdening post. The tl;dr is 'poor widdle old me.'
Taking the last 2 games of my Rodents team and the 3 Trial of Blood Pact games as a 5 game block:
CAS against: 9/3/7 (and I don't think that takes into account a crowd-surf SI in my most recent game).
Of those 7 dead:
The Legend GR, Dodgy Dan.
In the same game, Terrence the Tosser, the 2nd best Skaven thrower in SWL history
My Pact Mino (killed by a 1 die block from a Loner line-elf)
My Pact Delf (killed by the apo after an SI from a rookie Slann)
My Pact Ogre (killed by the same rookie Slann, on a 1 die block)
I suspect that I am cursed.
After the Mino died, I hired an apo. I used the apo when the Delf was hit for -av. The apo killed him.
On te positive side I had some Loner marauders perform well and get SPP, only to roll (and RR) low winnings so that I couldn't afford to hire either.
I know that I'm not the first to find himself in this sort of a run of ill-luck. But it does strike me as statistically anomalous, surely. 7/20 CAS as RIPs and 410k worth of players stripped out of my Pact team before they've even started in Reggies. |

Nuffle has cursed you for not putting up the All-Stars!
The one die blocks are the worst ones though. They'd never happen if the other team cared for their players. It's a bit like playing a team in SWL when they are retiring. The usual game goes out the window and it's just random chances all over the place. |

Should also note my opponents in these 4 games:
2 x elfs, Slann, Nurgle and Chaos.
Those big deaths all came against the elves and frogs |

That sucks - but actually I think your team is better for it. You have some skills on Marauders, which should be the focus of TOB rather than the big guys and dark elf. Arguably, the team functions better with only the troll. The Mino is ok early, but when you get a dedicated ClawPomber he won't be blitzing anyway and becomes a huge money pit for little use.
Keep focusing on the Marauders. I'll give you a game at some point too. My rats have had a terrible start with only Perms. It's like BH doesn't exist anymore. |

I think you're right, Tomay. In part it's as much how they died as that they died. Dan was a GFI trip/RIP. That's no way for a legend to go 
I think also it's partly about the pixel-love. As a Dwarf coach I built characters with backstories fitting a theme, because I could trust them to survive.
As a Rat coach I gave them forgettable alliterative names and churned through them because I expected they would die before long.
Maybe I need to accept that my Pact are more Rat than Dwarf on the disposability scale.
How many ToB games can you have? Is there a cap? I want moar. |

Don't drink the cool aid Redgum! Pact is all about the big guys, especially at low TV.
As you suggest AV 8 human linos are not in the Dwarf scale, they barely outweigh Skaven Linerats. How do these guys skill if they dont have some breathing room generated by the big guys?
If anything the DE is the SPP soak for TDs. All the CAS the Big Guys get are Cas the unskilled marauders cannot get. So nothing wasted. And redundancy os the name of the game. Only 1x CLPOMB is a walking Zombie, or Rotter, or Footnote waiting to happen. |
