I think it's a factor. In league if you use Chaos or Nurgle you have a really tough start and it takes ages to build a good team. In Ranked it's really hard to build them well and still get games. So Box is almost the only place where you are allowed to build a good cpomb team. |

One of the problems is they don't stay that way very long Bill. Although I suspect the regenerating sides to hold out a bit longer than the former considering their ability to deal better with large amounts of casualties. |

I thought Christer's graphs and stats yesterday were interesting, so I went ahead and plotted the numbers of games/race for each TV range using Koadah's stats. Bill Gates helped me make this graph, which shows how the pool of teams changes as TV increases.
You can also see the graph up close.
If the scheduler was to give, say, increased suitability ratings like Christer suggested, maybe this only needs to be implemented on higher TVs, and this way not changing the current system too much. |

I must say, WMDs most likely skew this chart. |

If that is the case (like it probably is), it shows that it does not take more than a small number of heavily played teams to make a big impact on the division. |

We already are buddy, too bad the softer teams don't stay above 1600 TV very long. As the graph shows. |

I'm surprised all the elf teams are so low they are the best races in this edition imo. |

Only if teambuilding is your primary concern.
If winning is your goal then the environment favours agile races.
If your goal is to make Box a happy place with flowery meadows and rainbow skies, and rivers made of chocolate, where children dance and laugh and play with gumdrop smiles, then you need to use some friendly teams a LOT! |

If by team building you mean playing around 1600+ then yes.

Apart from DEs they are not looking that great in the Box. |

Daddy says no to all that sissyness (that's not even a word).
Just make super boss teams, and romp! Do it in whatever fashion you prefer (spam ag like elves, min/max pact like slowman, drop clawpomb like a boss, dorf like a chode, or whatever!) |

This game has never favored agile races, if anything the latest rules have closed a bit of the gap.
Team development can't be directly severed from success. A healthy team is essential for success.
You could maybe minimize the relevance by use of a non progressive format. That's about it.
If you stay under the radar and keep your team purposely low your agile team won't match a min maxed bash team either in skill.
Ranked (as a very unique environment actually) can allow an agile team to thrive to a very high point. If you have a otscorer, a sacker, a good carrier and a good blitzer, you got a good team. That doesn't mean that any team couldn't beat them that was focused on beating agile teams. (Just only in ranked only other agile teams will ever focus on anti agility and they probably don't even enter tourneys because they are specialised and know they can't handle the real threats.- Which are non agile teams) So yes, if you are dealing with an elf team and have absolutely nothing to put up against it, not even tackle, ow you're at a disadvantage with bash.
Otherwise... hhh.. just look at the frickin graph. And everyone cares if they win. |

Meh, win percentage my bum. I'm quite confident a well coached elf team of any flavour would drastically alter the overall win percentage of that race because of how few games are played with them atm. Once I'm bored of drawing all my games with khemri I will give an elf race a go in the box and see how the environment really is for them these days. I would guess a tackle free paradise. |

A guy who wins with every race winning with elves isn't going to tell us very much. Especially if as you say, people are not taking tackle due to the lack of dodgers. |
