Hello all,
After a hiatus of little over 3 years, last time I played was with the previous ruleset, I logged on and decided to play a game.
After explaining to my opponent I was new to the new ruleset and application, but not to fumbbl I received a very nice, 'sure, no problem and take your time'. The second game was a repeat of the first.
In my experience fumbbl is of a rare breed. Most other open online e-sport or game communities seem to berate and express sincere profanity against the new, inexperienced and slow.
I do not offer an explanation. I only want to say: keep doing what you're doing, because this community makes me, and I am sure many others, feel welcome.
Thank you. |

Something to link next time someone wrongly goes off on one about how bad at this sort of thing FUMBBL is.
Welcome back, and well done to your opponents! |

See, we keep our trolling to a prescribed service. ie: Calcium, Shadow, Lizvis, Jeffro
That allows the rest of us to use the site without the pressure of needing to troll ourselves/others! |

'Small sample size'.
That's actually not true. People here are genuinely nice. Except for people from Finland. They are straight up mean.

Everyone rolls double 6s every once in a while, even twice in a row sometimes! |

Welcome back, and thank-you for saying thank-you. I think we (general public) complain far too easily and do not say thanks as often as we could. My wife and I tried a new Chinese food take-away which we both enjoyed, so I phoned to say thank-you, only took me a few minutes and the lady was clearly appreciative of the call.
Take care Dalfort |

I did exactly that too, and I cannot recommend strongly enough that you do some practice and/or test: games to get familiar with the new client and the new rules.

Get used to selecting Handoff or Pass before moving, how to throw the ball to an empty square (aka "punt"), etc., including any special skills your team(s) might have - Multi-block, Stab, Leap, TTM, etc.
You can also "Save Setups" (dropdown menu from header) before a kickoff. Saves a lot of time, if you care.

Oh, they're out there. It's against the Terms of Use, but it can happen. Or just someone who abuses any understandable confusion with the new system, that more.
Glad you found the opposite. Now, about your teams... prepare to die. |
