Okay for a bit of fun I'm going to let the masses decide my Warpstone entry. There are three potential candidates. The one with the most votes come Tuesday evening at, let's say, 22:00 bbtime I will enter. Feel free to vote the one you consider weakest or that I play worst out of rampant self-interest
So here's your choice:
My Lizards https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=757057
They have a serious saurus ball carrier and are generally very well developed. No sure hands as I couldn't turn down ag3 on that saurus so if you have strip ball elves, this might be the choice for you.
My Nurgle https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=874705
Got a lot of good players and a rather nice ball sacker who leaps in on a 2+ Possibly too bloated and not that bashy so if you're trim and stacked with weaponry this might be the one for you.
Or finally my Dwarves https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=858416
Not one but two sick runners (quite literally as both carry knocks) A nice spread of skills but lacking a couple more guard/mighty blow. If you're bashy or elf-like (that's a pretty long list) you might fancy you can take them.
So who will you choose? The Lizards and the Nurgle will not be playing any more matches. The Dwarves probably will play a couple.
Disclaimer: Should the Dwarves get totally trashed in their prep games, management reserve the right to discount them and choose the highest vote between the Lizards and Nurgle.
Disclaimer 2: Management are not responsible for drool-stained clothing or intense jealousy from looking at these teams. |

No elves?
What happened to the aim of winning a major with elves? |

Nurgle of course. Seems like a winning and funniest candidate. |

Get another couple RRs, couple assassins, and a stripper for Hubble Bubble, beat the lot of 'em.
Except maybe the Dorfs, that 6548 runner is pretty special in a good Guard cage, would need a lot of 3+ with the Delfs there, even Tents and DT won't stop him reliably. You do need more Guard there though, including a guard tractor really, dorfs with 9x Guard are just easier.
Like, your Nurgs are great Nurgs, but of those three teams they're the ones I'd just beat. |

NOT the Dorfs. Not enough punch from the Blockers.
4 are Rookies. 2 just have Guard added to the starting skills.
The Runners are game winners. The Troll Slayer is damn nice.
The 2 Legend Blockers are a great start to your frontlines.
But the support is really lacking... you probably need about 10 games to get them where they need to be.
Maybe more than 10.
I don't know which I would pick of your other 2 teams. Both look pretty good.
Both are more complete teas. Flip a coin and you will be fine. |

Well this answers one of my question :
what range of TV is ideal for a team to enter the warpstone open.
pretty pretty high it seems.
Does someone as an example of a low/mid TV team entering the tournament? |

As far as gloats go, this is probably the most sophisticated one I've seen. Well played sir.
My Wardancers will still kill your Skinks and strip your Sauri. |

Well Provo once made a deep run with Rookie Gobbos but normally, low/mid TV teams are for Minors and high TV teams are for Majors. Used to be you could be quite competitive with something around 1800k but that was CRP, with the BB16 rules I guess the scales have tilted towards even higher TV... |

I'd say around 210 - 230 is ideal, if you have the essential roles for your team covered. The Nurgle on here would be very vulnerable to inducements. Some rosters such as Skaven could be fab at 190 and then get loads of inducements on top. Just depends on the race. |

Depends on the race you are playing. I'm bringing 1900-ish khemri who I feel have pretty much everything they need. |

Hahaha I can spot at least 3 elf teams on your profile that I'd take over the Woodies I'm bringing without second thought. |
