There's only a couple of people I'd call for time, and they are both from the school of "No cheating", and "Harden up or call the cuddle bunny"...

It's part of the game, and it's within the ToS. Running a game rigged to not include it (which is outside the ToS) is cheating.

Obviously it's intended to be always in use, as there is no option for people to turn it off in league setup.

Spirit of the game of course applies, if the a disconnect, or players have gone as quick as is reasonable expected - then of course I'm not going to call it.

The secret it to play in a timely fashion.

My understanding is that the 4min rule is an optional rule... it is not used in tabletop tourneys.

Chavo, I think you're misinterpreting the intent of the LRB6 rules.

4 minute rule is as optional as illegal procedures in tabletop. If you want coaches to move a digital turn counter as well im sure we can petition (thanks faulc) kalimar to implement it. Timeouts will not be used in swl, and neither will illegal procedures (if they are implemented).

SWL has worked fine in the past without it.

Onto other news. This time next week we will have our races sorted.

TV1000 teams will be scheduled in a round robin. Interest will decide when the tournament kicks off.

How do I apply? I have created a new team and applied to the SWL Fringe Group but cannot apply to the tour page??

4 minute rule and IP are technically, mandatories in the CRP. Thinking about it, I realise my experience is soiled by my TT instances in the past - but it's still a good chance to wind DC up Smile

In all honesty it not a problem online (strangely enough, neither is IP), it's just a pet hate of mine.

Tomay, question re the Marienburg Cup - points are awarded for wins/losses in open tourney style. Is there a time limit, number of matches limit etc? OR does it become a race to see who can play the most games?

Depends on numbers at the moment. If we get a few people (which is looking likely) i will probably cap it at a certain number of matches and a date. If we only have a couple i will let everyone play everyone in a certain time frame

The Marienburg Cup will be kicking off tomorrow (Monday) night. You have nothing to lose by applying, as its an open draw and you can choose to play when and if you like.

Have a look here:

The Marienburg Cup has kicked off. Tournament will end in 4 weeks and the inaugural winner crowned. Who is going to get the first tour tournament win under their belt (and the right to claim it in their profile) and earn a spot in the invitational.
