Season Preview – Wozzaap in Mootland

The Cockerels are enjoying a golden period in terms of team success. Coach mushoomy was perhaps the most successful coach in Cockerels history – managing a victory and a draw during his tenure. Coach Wozzaa has entered the scene and appears to be just as promising as his predecessor, managing a draw in his very first season. What a season for the Cockerels!

Where They're At
Coming off a draw last season will be hard to match. Hoggs-Hill appears to be a reasonably capable college level player though and may lead the team to another touchdown.

Biggest Concern
They’re the Fighting Cockerels.

What We'll Be Saying At the End of the Season
Coach Wozzaa is brilliant, the Cockerels scored 3 touchdowns!

predicted finish: Last.

Ultras Middenheim @UltrasMiddenheim

WTF, Harlequins management showing signs of competence?

1. Sacking coach cdwat
2. Ignoring coach Jevouse's request to join the club
3. Recruiting coach Semitence from current champions the Scorpions

Season Preview – Buccs Begin Sharper Era

The NPU Buccaneers have failed in recent seasons to make much of a mark over the Frostbelt Conference they traditionally dominate. They’ve had a string of short term coaching stays and significant injuries to key players. Coach Sharper enters the fold after the decimation of the team at the hands of the now expelled Bears and the departure of yet another coach.

Where They're At
NPU has been a miserable program in recent history. It’s all about a fresh start in Norsca but luckily this is the case across the Conference.

Biggest Concern
A cursed team with an inexperienced roster, it’s going to be tough.

What We'll Be Saying At the End of the Season
The curse has been lifted by coach Sharper!

predicted finish: 1st in the Frostbelt, Red Ribbon Bowl Winners

Season Preview – The Pfistermann Show

The Bulls are coming off a stellar season in terms of Wolfenburg’s measurement for success. They unearthed a monster in Pfistermann, who looks set to break the records in terms of violence and enter immortality for Bulls faithful. They didn’t do too badly in terms of CBBA success either, making the Red Ribbon Bowl final where they were narrowly defeated by a well drilled Wolfpack.

Where They're At
They’re coming off a Red Ribbon Bowl loss and a period of great success for the program. They have the best hitter in the CBBA but won’t be left with much else as the majority of the team graduates. It may be for the best though, as a successor to Laut could prove the spark in enthusiasm the team needs after big Thorgrad’s impact has diminished.

Biggest Concern
The Bulls should be able to achieve their brutality targets yet again, but will struggle with a roster predominantly consisting of junior players.

What We'll Be Saying At the End of the Season
They brought the pain without much game – sayonara Pfistermann.

predicted finish: 2nd in Frostbelt

Season Preview – Wrestle Bowl To Win Yhet Again?

The Yhetees have been the biggest surprise since the CBBA recommenced in Season 4. Coach Tussock has proven that he is a genius, forming the most consistent unit in the CBBA. The Yhetees team from Season 4 to Season 6 is the best team to come from the North since the Bucc’s “Great Northern Raiders” and
will go down in history as one of the greats – making bowls in all three seasons and winning the big one. The school is unlikely to ever see this sort of success again, I’m sure they’ve enjoyed it.

Where They're At
They are coming off a tough bowl loss to the Scorpions after an otherwise dominant season. They have a coach that is arguably in the top 3 of the league and have shown a knack for unearthing talent out of Kislev. However, 6 of their all time greatest stars to ever wear the White and Light Blue are leaving. That’s a huge hole to fill.

Biggest Concern
Replacing all that experience and talent isn’t going to be easy, the Yhetees are due to return to the middle of the road.

What We'll Be Saying At the End of the Season
The era of Wrestle Bowl success has well and truly ended.

predicted finish: 3rd in Frostbelt

Season Preview – Manticores Return To CBBA
The Nordrak College Manticores are returning to the CBBA under the promising coach Mushoomy for Season 7. While they have achieved very little in their few seasons within the college football world, the Manticores have reasons for optimism under coach Mushoomy. This season should show whether this is well founded or not as they begin to rebuild.

Where They're At
A completely overhauled, fresh roster with a solid coach but on a team that has traditionally struggled to win anything other than minor fixtures.

Biggest Concern
They have been just plain bad in their CBBA history, can they actually produce some talent?

What We'll Be Saying At the End of the Season
There’s a player or two here who could be something, but boy the Manticores need to improve.

predicted finish: Last in Frostbelt

Season Preview - Wolfpack Looking To Go One Better

Middenland State have been the picture of consistency since Coach Jevouse entered the picture. They are the quintessential Red Ribbon Bowl team, putting together great seasons through consistent play but without the elite standout run required to reach the CBBA Bowl. Surely, that would be the goal this season.

Where They're At
They just won the Red Ribbon Bowl but their roster looks to be overhauled with 5 of their stars graduating. There is still talent there however, with von Wulfenburg and von Untergard showing the ability to take over for the next generation.

Biggest Concern
They lack star power. There isn’t a single guy you can point at heading into this season that has the athletic ability to dominate a game.

What We'll Be Saying At the End of the Season
Coach Jevouse was excellent again in a dour conference, but the departed players left too big of a hole to win the Bowl.

predicted finish: 1st in the GNR, Red Ribbon Bowl Loss.

Season Preview – Can FCU Steady the Ship?

The bmilner era at FCU is over after showing much promise. The D_Arquebus era showed patches of promise too. Now we have DrPoods taking over the reigns on a team that really needs some longevity at the helm to develop their players and foster unison amongst the playing group.

Where They're At
Last season was solid for a fresh team and they looked to be heading in the right direction. However, they are now another team undergoing upheaval, the Clippers will have a fresh roster of rookies to take the field. DrPoods has been underwhelming in his previous tenures at CBBA level.

Biggest Concern
Can DrPoods take on arguably the hardest coaching task in the CBBA and get the Clippers players to build some cooperation and chemistry.

What We'll Be Saying At the End of the Season
There’s a lot of talent in this roster, if they can come together as a unit next season - watch out!

predicted finish: 2nd in the GNR

Season Preview – Can Hotchland Emerge From The Shadows

The Outlaws entered in Season 5 and took 7 straight defeats before they finally tasted victory last season. After such a long struggle to gain entry to the CBBA you’d think they could muster better than what they have so far. This is their third season and it’s time to prove that they are worthy of a position or questions will start to be asked.

Where They're At
Last season was a better one for the Outlaws, who showed flashes of potential but also conceded far too many touchdowns. The Sommer – Winther combination appears promising and Sternberg could just be a top line blitzer.

Biggest Concern
There’s a number to choose from but the fact that in two seasons their only victories have come against the Cockerels and a Feds team looking to find their way. Fragility is not a good thing in the CBBA.

What We'll Be Saying At the End of the Season
The Outlaws might just be worthy of a spot in this league, but they’ll never challenge the big guns.

predicted finish: 3rd in the GNR

Season Preview – Harlequins Look To Rebuild

Middenheim City has been disappointing in recent history, failing once again to keep a team on the field, but also (and more shockingly) to develop any real stars in the league. They’ve been outplayed and overshadowed by their rivals, the Wolfpack. So they’ve fired coach cdwat and somehow managed to snag the CBBA Bowl winning coach Semitence. Could this see just be the change the Harlequins need to legitimise themselves and capitalise on their potential? Or will it be another case of the same old story in Middenheim?

Where They're At
5/3/9 under coach cdwat in what was at times a very easy draw. Semitence will start fresh, with new faces. Luckily they have a solid base of talent to draw upon.

Biggest Concern
The fragility of the Harlequins continues to be their Achilles heel. Unfortunately, toughness is almost impossible to coach.

What We'll Be Saying At the End of the Season
Semitence got some moments of brilliance out of the Harlequins, but they fell apart once again.

predicted finish: 4th in the GNR

Season Preview – Will Patience Pay Off in Nuln

On the surface the Gunners record doesn’t look very good since Geoffro took over. 3/1/7 is hardly anything to get excited about right? Wrong. When you consider that 5 of the Gunners losses have occurred to the Griffins, Scorpions and Panthers – it paints a very different picture. The Gunners have been a season behind in terms of development, thanks to coach Geoffro entering the fray in Season 5. After a strong start last season, they fell away in the final rounds to quality opposition. Now that those quality oppositions are facing fresh faces themselves, the Gunners patience is poised to pay off.

Where They're At
They started last season with 2 wins and then followed up with a draw before 3 losses to some of the strongest teams in the league. Entering Season 7 they look to have the strongest roster in the league as most of their team enters their senior year. There’s strength and ability across the park and no team has been positioned so well for a Bowl run in a long time.

Biggest Concern
Is coach Geoffro ready to step up and handle the pressure of being favourites to lead the Gunners to a Bowl?

What We'll Be Saying At the End of the Season
The Gunners development plan paid off, they were the best team in the league this season and deserved the CBBA Bowl.

predicted finish: 1st in All Imperial Conference, CBBA Bowl Winners!

Season Preview – Will The Traditional Powerhouse Bounce Back?

Coach Tomay has not hid from the fact the Griffins were disappointing last season, putting it down to a “growing season” in order to gain some experience for a future bowl run. The RAU isn’t renowned for it’s patience and will be expecting a big bounce back this season to challenge for the CBBA Bowl. Several players have moved on, including one of their all time greats – so it’s going to be very interesting to see how they go.

Where They're At
The Griffins lost an unprecedented 3 games after their undefeated CBBA Bowl winning season. Their biggest rivals won the Altdorf Cup and took the CBBA Bowl out themselves, so it was altogether terrible for the Griffins fans. They have implemented a rotational policy for sustained success, however, none of their currently experienced players were really given the opportunity to stand up in a team dominated by Klopstock, Staebler and Schor.

Biggest Concern
Are the two Victors really good enough to be worth sacrificing last season for in the hope of a bowl run in this one? Probably not.

What We'll Be Saying At the End of the Season
The Gunners were too good for a valiant and well coached Griffins who have next season to look forward to.

predicted finish: 2nd in the AIC.

Season Preview – Scorpions Need to Start Again

Last season was all about the Scorpions, who’s three Season plan to win a CBBA Bowl was realised when they dominated the entire competition. With almost their entire roster graduating, coach Semitence forwent building for another tilt in Reikland. Coach Patdragon somehow ended up with the top job from last season’s top team, that’s a lot of pressure for a coach who struggled with it in Talebheim.

Where They're At
They’ll be starting completely fresh with everyone graduating and a new coach coming in. They’ve been dominant in recent times however and they always have a great pool of blue chip recruits to call on.

Biggest Concern
Is Patdragon the man for such a high pressured position? It’s going to be tough to show patience for the Scorpions faithful with so many fresh faces.

What We'll Be Saying At the End of the Season
They dominated the touring leg, but the Scorpions were a step behind their two biggest rivals in Season 7.

predicted finish: 3rd in the AIC

#CBBA #Season7 #Scorpions

Season Preview – Will the Roar Return to the Panthers

In their traditionally classy way, the Talabheim board moved on from coach Patdragon in the offseason. While Patdragon performed better outside the AIC, he was never able to reach the heights of his predecessor, coach Balle2000. HandyKaufman is an almost completely unknown quantity, so it will be interesting to see if he can bring the Panthers back to consistently competing.

Where They're At
Their roster basically all graduated after a 5/3/9 run under coach Patdragon where they struggled to support Barnabus enough to challenge the AIC. They will have a fresh roster with a fresh coach. No one knows what to expect.

Biggest Concern
They’re the smallest of the Big 4 and will once again struggle to match the AIC heavyweights.

What We'll Be Saying At the End of the Season
Victory within the AIC escaped the Panthers again.

predicted finish: 4th in the AIC

#CBBA #Season7 #Panthers
