After a bloody, overtime, coin toss victory, the Fun Police have their first (and my first) ever legend.

Gangrenous Gabriel
https://fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=10188250

He is an integral part of the team, so making him as effective as possible is pretty important.

I think he might be too slow to benefit from Two Heads. Being MA busted means he is only 2MA after the PO, and nobody every really marks him (funnily enough).

Juggs will help against a couple of the SF heavy teams, as well as anyone with Fend. It also means I can target wrestlers - skinks & elves mainly.

Grab is more for anti-ss, rather than putting players behind me. Pinning more mobile elves etc.

Honestly though it feels like Pro might be the right choice. I usually like to blitz with him later in the turn, and don't want to expend my pricey 70k RR on pushes. At the same time though, I need to get as much bang for my blitz as possible.

If you're blitzing with him, I'd go with frenzy. A second free block on a pushback, without having to expend a reroll or pro, is not a bad deal at all.

Yeah, frenzy or pro. I like frenzy, but it is not so great on movement5. Still solid though.

I think you should retire the gimp.

What conflict of interest, this is completely unbiased advice!

juggernaught or grab to negate fend.

frenzy could leave him out of position.

pro is asking for trouble.

Juggs, Grab or Frenzy all have uses.

Which is why you should probably just retire him and save yourself a decision.

I would have rolled +ST instead. Learn to play Semi!

But since you're a skill rolling scrub, I'd pick Pass Block or Kick-off return for Gabriel. Very Happy

Pro or frenzy are the only skills that will get him more cas.

Frenzy is nice, but might leave him out of position, if you don't want this take pro. I really don't get it, why this should be asking for trouble. Then every two-dice block would be asking for trouble Smile

Juggernaut or grab are great skills but won't get him more cas.

I think it is simple: Can you manage frenzy? Take it. Cant? Dont take it. It is highly coach skill dependent.

Rare case where fend is the correct answer.

Pro is trash.

Frenzy is great while it doesn't get him killed, but it's more likely to get him out of position and killed.

Juggernaut? Srsly? No.

Grab... meh, I guess it helps with allowing you to pileon from the same square you are standing in, but it doesn't work on a blitz, so how do you use him generally?

How much Fend and Wrestle do you see? That's the real question. If opponents go all Wrodge/Fend on you to stop you from POMBing them, go Juggernaut. If that doesn't happen... Pro?

Frenzy = 100% more blocks, Pro = 50 % more blocks with both skills you would get more cas. Fend is a defensive skill, nice for not being into contact after the opponent blocks you, but it won't get you a single cas more!

He's a legend, he doesn't need to farm CAS.

He needs to be able to be used more surgically (and continue to live). Fend helps with both of those.

Frenzy is not a bad skill at all, but I hate it on my cpomb because it really takes them out of position frequently. But I don't look at frenzy for the additional chance at pows, I look at it purely from a surf threat point of view. I want to roll pushes with my frenzy guy! I don't even give them tackle usually Smile

Pro is just... it's just trash. But the pro debates have happened in other threads, no need to revisit them. Save it for your odd big guy you don't want to take dodge on as a 2nd double and your vampires.
