I have to laugh a bit. My High Elf team was on game finder. I was challenged by a legendary coach who will not be named. The challenge was with his wood elves and he had a little more than 100 TV more than me. I just hit ok because I wanted to play and did not want to sit around waiting hours for a match.
The screen skips to accept/decline and I hit accept. Suddenly I bounce back to the game finder screen. I assume this means the guy backed down from a challenge he just made.
I can only guess that he feared a pair of tacklers with mighty blow and a sure handed thrower. The thing is at about 2000 TV I don't know what kind of match-up he was looking for.
I hope no one tells this to my high elves. They will start thinking they are better than everyone else. |

One thing that could of happened is he challenged a bunch of people and someone else accepted right before you did so you got kicked back to gamefinder once it realized it couldn't match y'all.
I am no where near certain that's how it works but the few times recently something similar happened to me my would be opponent was in a match with someone else very quickly. |

he might have selected more than just your team on gamefinder. When the accept/decline came up for the other match, he accepted...which makes yours auto-declined. |

A pair of Mighty Blow tacklers is enough for me to decline a game against anyone with my delicate 'tournament' woodies.
It's no mystery that he green-lighted your team at the same time he was doing it to many others, than backed away when he saw you could damage him badly. I do it all the time.
Pixel hugger.. wimp, baby, tournamnet wanna-be.. what-ever. Call it what you will, I feel no shame in avoiding Tackle/Mighty Blow when trying to prep for a tournament.

It was not you Murker. I do have a question along those lines though. How in the world do you find any games at 1800+ with less than two MB/Tacklers? How long are you willing to sit and stare at the screen?
Sure. If you see 5-6 Mb it is understandable. My little downtime is worth more than waiting for the softest team I can find. |

I activate more than 1 team on Gamefinder. I start with the Woodies, and if nothing suitable is there, I activate other stuff. And I don't play much Ranked, so I'm not overly arsed about it. It is hard to get a game, so I do have to face one Mighty Blow Tackler now and again, but it is usually damaging on the team. Two is counter-productive to tournament prep.
With the new MVP rule.. maybe that will change. |
