About
I'm not really sure what to share here, so I guess I'll just talk about how I got started with the game we have all come to love so much.

I've been crazy about the boardgame since I was about twelve, but unfortunately there were almost no opportunities to play the game back then. I was the proud owner of a dwarf team, but I didn't own a board so I had to rely on others for an opportunity to bash some skulls. I slowly but steadily realised I sucked at the game but nonetheless I enjoyed it quite a lot!

A small decade later I got a job, gathered up some cash and bought the board and some more teams. I'd invite a close friend over and we'd create our own leagues, each playing several teams. I'd still get my ass kicked, but the thrill of trying out all those new teams and slowly but steadily seeing them grow made it all worth it.

About a month ago, august 2015, I read something about the new Blood Bowl videogame coming up, and ended up here whilst digging for information about the game. What an awesome turn of events that was! I mean I heard there was a blood bowl sim out there, but fumbbl exceeded all my expectations. The amount of detail is just insane; I tried so many teams already and I still haven't even seen half of what this site has offer!

It took some time to find out what and where to do to get started, but once I got started I just couldn't stop playing -.- Immediately I got hooked, and the learning process began. Slowly but steadily I am trying to implement the metarules into my game: make as few rolls as possible, minimize risk, control the pitch, and go for the win, not the kills. Quite hard as I prefer the bashier teams; but hard is ok. I am always up for a challenge, specially since most guys I face are friendly, well mannered people who lighten up the mood with some good ol' banter. Some even give me advice, hence improving the learning experience :)

I have played over 200 matches now and have not encountered a troll yet, which for me is amazing seeing as how I come from the League of Legend scene ^^ Sure, there were some who complained about the dice. One guy went absolutely mental, but it wasn't really bothersome; it even amused me. Some just obliterated my entire team without even saying a word; but I guess that's part of the learning experience and knowing what matchups to refuse.

I too have lost my patience a few times, and for that I apologize to the unlucky beholders. Nonetheless, I try to stay calm and learn from my errors. After all, it's more fun to enjoy a friendly chat than to start whining and complaining, and a short temper won't win you matches. It's been a challenging trip so far, but I'm not planning on giving up anytime soon!

Wes
