Dam it...
All these nice painting blogs makes me wanna paint stuff... and I truly suck at painting.
I feel like a eunuck in a harem - I want to, but can't.

My early stuff is definately NOT that nice looking. It just takes time to learn all the ins and outs of painting. I still have a lot to learn myself.
Don, Just get yourself painting and practice, practice, practice :)

Great stuff, even though it isn't BB! The weathering on the predator (?) is really well done but to me it clashes with the unsubtle highlights... I also like your freehands on the shoulderpads, any special technique to that or are you just good at drawing?
Also, that space-wolf wolf helmet is perfect for use in a Sandor Clegane conversion!

Argh ! So many marines ! Not rated 6 because of so few dark eldars in it :)
Great painting otherwise.

torsoboy:
It's freehand. A little bit of effort went into how to draw it, but did it by hand. I tried to outline the wolf head first and the paint the inside area.
Yep, the predator is my first go at painting and weathering a vehicle and I concentrated on using the airbrush with it (first as well). The paint kinda clumped on it cause I sprayed from too far away which made the highlighting a pain...

Very nice job.
But why the old DE models, when the new range actually looks good :)
Posted by Janzki on 2011-02-22 15:56:09
I know :) The new range is faaaaar better looking. The problem is, I bought tons of the old range figs really cheap 1-2 years before the new ones came out. So I think I'll stick to them and just get some special chars and 1 or 2 units from the new one.

mpressive, crazy, awesome, my jaw on the floor.
That's my style of painting, these Eldars are... uh oh... really good shading, that's what am calling good 3D effect.
I bet you'v used to this a big paintbrush and you'v painted it with brushing technique, they looks very natural,
Predator imo very good effect, you'v sprayed at him these lighting effects, great idea. I think paiting this manually would not gave such good effect, because it's a big model and precise painting would make something like a new car after carwashing.
Great work, spray looks like the minutes grains of the sand or ashes, impressive, looks realistic, like a big machine from real desert. I would do the same with such big model, specially with a tank. Bravo!!
btw, things inside just can't find the words to this ... ;D

Nice work.

Sweet! Great job!

Thanks for all the comments dudes. I have a norse and and a khemri team on the line to be painted. Hopefully I get to those someday in the near future.
Prinz: there's never enough heavy weapons :)

Good job!
Always nice to see minis properly lit when taking pics, does them more justice!
