FC preparation
So, another major is incoming!
Things I noticed:
-People get super conservative in the games they accept. This of course includes yourstruely, but it pretty much holds true accros the spectrum.
-It seems that the ratio of teams per players went down, meaning that people generally lfg with their prospective FC team.
-Both of these together makes finding games surprisingly difficult.
Solution: Play Blackbox.
Odds of me getting a FC BB team before the FC draw: 0.

Solution: Make a new goblin/halfling team, enter them into the FC. Foul every turn when able. Enjoy! :D

I have the most fun with majors - or any tourneys on this site in general - if I do not prepare for them at all. Heck, I don't win any either (thats coaching skill too!)
Preparing almost feels like work - bit of a sad thing to see ranked teams be pickier for it: (. The one time I tried prepping a team for a tournament (pro elfs in box -asking for it) I got so frustrated with the effort the team ended up retired, and the tourney not joined.
For the FC I've put in my shitty box humies again. I had an absolute blast with them in the FC last year, if this year is half as good, my tourney year is saved:D

I didn't try to prepare my Humans for the FC... They just happened to come out of the HLP season in phenomenal shape. So that's how I "built" them, i.e. not at all! :D

yeah, no way in hell I'll ever win a major (eg. i can't even OTT properly!), so why bother preparing anally.

Lost my best asset in "freeing" a Woodie Guard from MNG in "a last prep match"... DoubleKill on [ma9ag6 SureHands Blodge]er... No prep matches ever again for me :D

Usually for a majors I look at all my teams and bring whatever appears tourney fit at the time.
As a result, I don't have to go looking for easy games...or accept them either. Because let's face it, that's when the RNG decides to let that high elf team crunch you with less than 24 hours to build back.
