Season LXXV of the Southern Wastes League is fast approaching, and legends in their own lunchtimes the Singed Poor Scoundrels were as enthusiastic as ever to check their schedule. Would it be Amazons for the first match of the year? Would it be Halflings? Would it be 11 members of the old people's home down the street, accidentally released onto the pitch to feel the wrath of Spindizzee Tick Tock's enormous Christmas tree bauble, left over from last year's celebrations?

It's ... Chaos Renegades!

Further confusion from the Scoundrels team came, when the creeping realisation came over them that they'd not only played this team before, but they'd ended the career of Gug, some sort of outsized cow, as well as killing Randolph Carter. And yet there they were on the team roster for the game. Administrative oversight? A malfunctioning time machine? Good old dark, necromantic powers?

Tune in at 11am Fumbbl Server time, Wednesday the 16th of January, to see if this confusing mystery can be resolved. (Obviously all fans of the beautiful game were already ready to see the Scoundrels begin their charge to the top of the league table, but for anyone else who wasn't keeping up...)
