A regional radio station sponsored a Battle of the Bands to promote classic rock among high school students. High schools from the area produced videos based on classic rock songs. You can see the entries here:

This strikes me as a fun project. Most of these are marching/pep band type videos, which is on par, and probably largely what the radio station expected.

But my son's high school did something a bit more. Check out the Reynolds High School rendition of Freebird. Everything you hear and see was produced by the students.
