Firstly, let me allay any misapprehension that this little corner of the web exists through divine providence; God knows the kind of unwanted attention that would attract. In fact, woe betide God the day he realises he took his eye off the ball long enough for this blog to spring into existence - and woe betide any innocent surfers quite accidentally straying across it. Let me apologise to those people; I should remind them that we are at war, that there must always be casualties in war, and that this fact is as unavoidable as it is regrettable. By means of an explanation, and a pre-emptive disclaimer, this blog will act as a cesspit for all the sewage that leaks out of my brain and would otherwise be sent in e-mails, forgotten or ignored.
