I want to hit 100 games
I'm determined to build a team to hit 100 games played. I got into the 70's with Green Gruntz but they just became unplayable. Gosh, I wish I could still play them :(

Should I go with Orc again, or try to get another race to play with that kind of longevity?

You had 8 players, and 10 the next game.

Some people have reach 1000 games with a team of skaven, some other a team of Woodies, some with necros... I've 500 with skavens, and i'm at 50 in blackbox without retiring a single team.

Well, 8 players in a team shouldn't stop you (the next game you are close to be full), the more important is a race that you like to play.

For longevity, you need wood elves:

Seriously?
8 Orcs and 21 FF....

That was HIGHLY recoverable... :)

That wasn't even a word, I think, but you know what I mean.

if yuo want to hit 100 games
dont retire such a team.
every team with 4+ players and ff 20+ is recoverable

In the long run av9 whont save you from ageing. All teams breakes some time. Just go with a team that you like and dont retire it when it becomes a litle difficult.

in what way were they unplayabe?

the only team that is unplayable...is one that is retired.

those orcs could have kept going on. If you want to reach a 100 games, you need to stick through the temperary bad times.

If you want a good race to play to 100, try humans or norse. Easy to get games and rather dynamic in their ability to build.

Norse are incredibly fun to build/rebuild. You'll get them up to about 200 TS, they'll meet their first claw/rsc chaos team, get hammered down to 100-150 TS. But norse are amazing at that TS, cause they've got full block. Just keep the FF high and you'll be fine.

Unplayable in the sense that I just kept losing and losing and losing. I don't want to play a team ONLY to get to 100 games, just like I won't make a 1-turner just to get a legendary player (something else I want to do!).

So I want to try to make a team that can be competitive all the way up.

Losing and losing and losing? You'd only lost one of your last six games before retiring them. Maybe you should just avoid the infamous Mr Hicks in the future? :-)

Sure, I suppose it just feels like losing when Mr Hicks is involved ;)
