Blackbox musings...
I'm liking what I'm getting from the Blackbox matches so far. Part of my problem with fumbbl is I generally don't have time to sit around waiting for an hour on gamefinder to get a game - and so I thought {B} would be a great asset for players just looking for one or two quick games.

I sadly followed the crowd (!) and went for a khemri team, purely to actually get some games with it, and also went for a skaven team as I've never really used them and fancied a challenge of playing virtually all bash.

I think a lot has been made of the fact that every other team is khemri/undead/dwarf/chaos dwarf etc. I think that's fine to be honest, my ranked skaven team only has 2 games purely because I didn't want to face chaos dwarves et al early on and the beauty of {B} is I have to.

I'm not saying it doesn't get tedious to face all that bash - it does, but now and again you get a really good match that you perhaps would miss out on in ranked because you might get squished.

My only little gripe would perhaps be about the match ups - again I think this has been covered by others - but virtually all my 8 games so far with the rats have been up TR and at least a couple up TS above the usual 10. Facing undead at a TR/TS deficit is generally a tough game, and while the first couple of times it might be a challenge, I could see myself losing enjoyment if it was a regular occurence.

Still, it's early days and we're still in testing so I'm sure these things will iron themselves out. Maybe even a team race element could factor into the match ups - but I'm no programmer so I imagine that could be a difficult prospect. What I mean is where two teams are relatively equal, if one of them has a general advantage over the other (dwarf vs amazon) they would be classed as higher TR/TS.

Think I might get myself a human team and see how they get on in the 'box. Thanks for reading.
