Dodging when u dont want
In this game:
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=3140376

I found a situation where I didnt want to use the dodge skill but the client just assumed that I wanted to use it, since it didn’t ask me. It was on my opponent's 7th turn during first half. When the wolf blitzes my gutter runner in the first block he chooses pow-dodge result; if my gutter runner wouldn’t have dodged the block I would have scored easily in my turn 8 (without any roll needed)with my other GR, because he dodged the first block I had to make a one dice block to score.

err, doesn't the new client ask you if you want to use it?

Maybe the client should always ask about dodging on frenzy blocks.

yeah, i think it should always ask on frenzy blocks to avoid these kind of situations...

indeed. good suggestion.

Difficult isn't it, dunno when you cross the line to the point the 'ease of use and quickness' brigade get antsy.

I'd be for this being an optional time, but I'm sure some of those guys would be anti! :)

Well in this case i almost cant score because of that... I think that's an important reason to consider asking for the use of dodge when u are being blocked by a frenzy player.

Not that it matters much, but he also rolled a push...
Posted by srjuanone on 2011-03-29 18:55:55

"Maybe the client should always ask about dodging on frenzy blocks." Yes.
Posted by Kalimar on 2011-03-29 20:12:38
actually the client is supposed to do just that on frenzy blocks. this is a bug. please file a report describing the exact situation and linking to the game. thank you.

Actually I remembered it wrong. We discussed this case and decided against it. The client asks for the use of Dodge in the cases 1) pushback to the side, 2) chainpush and 3) push over the line at kickoff. No matter if the blocker has Frenzy or not.

then i guess it is not going to be changed... I really think it should be.
