I got sidetracked by the Pandemic, by learning about the fumbbl API, by the Throne of Blood stunty nonsense, by an amazon team in the blackbox that's my #1 winning record team to date (!)... but finally I got all my 100 games in of what was to be my "Elf" season of a trophy run.
In order of increasing enjoyment, they were:
Kalmar Pelfs,
https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=951658 , the final team to finish their run, with a 5/3/17 record. There were glimpses of elfy goodness, and I kept four catchers alive for a lot of the games.... but bashy orcs, lizards, and chorfs were everywhere around 1500 TV and the going was very tough.
Kalmar Helfs,
https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=951657 , with a 9/4/12 record they did a lot better than their squishy pro cousins. Both blitzers stuck around through niggling injuries, team played some fine elfball at times. Star thrower got 62 SPP on him in the 25 games.
Kalmar Nelfs (not elfs),
https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=951659 , my halfling foray into the box. Good times were had by all, sadly treemen didn't get Block, but we bashed some heads and walked off for a snack with a 3/4/18 record.
Kalmar Welfs ,
https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=951648 , the woodies were my most enjoyable and exciting challenge to play. Elduin the catcher rolled an early MA+, then sure feet, then another MA+, and suddenly I had my first natural one turner ever. In game #13, he managed the not-common feat of scoring five touchdowns in a single game. He's got a -AV chink in his armor and I don't expect him to get old.... still, at 118 SPP he's the top star of my third run through the box.
Which ones will I keep? The Welfs are keepers, at least while Elduin is alive.
But what next? I think it'll be all stunties for the rest of the month--my snotlings, stunty lizards (now sporting a ST6 kroxigor with break tackle, cages beware), and perhaps the Nelfs will join them for some madness... or I mix things up with ogres and stunty underworld...
Thanks to all friendly opponent coaches for the chats and good times! And as always to Christer and site administration for keeping this beautiful machine running!
