This was the second to last match the Crush would play before the Blitz Invitational first Championship round. They earned 13 points towards the Blitz Invitational in this match.

The game reflected very well what each race does best; Orcs bash, cage and stall while Wood Elves make lightning fast touchdowns and leap into cages.

The Woodies recieved first gave it to their thrower who retreated backwards. Although Ponky, a side stepping goblin, rushed forwards to put pressure on the thrower, the woodies managed to form a cage near the sideline. But, a quick and easy reversal play caught the Crush off guard until a high risk blitz by Ojalan stopped the inevitable score, but not before the Crush crowdpushed a few players. The two teams struggled for the ball for the rest of the half when on turn 8, the Crush' troll, Zudd, failed his bonehead roll and couldn't blitz the Wardancer ballcarrier. This, in addition to a turnover causing double skulls on a non-important block on the other side of the pitch, allowed them to score as that wood elf who had knocked down the Black Orc Blocker who was guarding him with double skulls, was handed-off the ball and then scored. Halftime: 1 - 0.

The Orcs knew how to respond. They caged up and walked it in. After a quick scramble for the ball, which Lintel, a Black Orc Blocker, luckily caught, Lintel had a cage formed around him and they took the entire half to walk it in. They then stalled the last few turns to preserve the tie. The elves were deliberately out of position so that their players would not get maimed and could gang up on the few Orcs left behind.

The cage formed by the Orcs in the corner of the field was designed to make sure no one could be crowdpushed. It worked, for no one was, although it did leave room, to no fault of the design, for the wardancer to leap into the cage and block the Black Orc Blocker, albeit with two dice against. however, both results were pushbacks and thus Lintel was pushed into the endzone for the tying score. Thus the game ended as a tie, well fought by both teams, who each deserved to win.

After the game, we got a few statements from coach Oblitzamanger. He said many things about many subjects. This is what he said:

"I want to congradulate coach BillBrasky on a wel fought match. I wish his team good luck in the future, especially since I didn't destroy those Woodies!

"I had a chance to foul his +St blodging catcher, but decided against it because such a valuable player is respectable. Besides, it ended up that the fouling it wouldn't have helped anyway. What really helped was the crowdpushes prior to the foul which didn't happen. Although BillBrasky was annoyed about them, they were actually tactically useful, although the elves did overcome the problem that I had laid for them. Since the ball had switched to the other side, my slow Orcs were not able to help the mighty brawl over there. Instead, they were left to guard the left behind elves.

The Crush had POWs all day and great luck until two bad rolls undid this team. First, Zudd forgot what he was supposed to do and was thus unable to blitz the ballcarrier, which would have ended all possible hopes for the wood elves scoring. Then, a Black Orc Blocker who was incharge of guarding the stray elves on the other side of the pitch was knocked down and thus allowed the score. Two rolls went bad, although they should have scored much earlier and didn't due to the team's great luck.

"The whole scramble started when Ojalan went for it twice to block a blodger one on one and somehow got a POW. Lucky as heck, I know.

"I was sorry the team had to stall in the end as I hate stalling and would like for both teams to get as many SPPs as possible, which stalling reduces the number of, but I valued the tie over the SPPs and a loss and only proved that this team can stall successfully, which it has never tried before.

"I used my apothecary on Jurtive because I wanted him for the next game, never mind he didn't get a permament injury. However, the apothecary failed to save him and unfortunately, he will have to miss the next match.

"All in all, a great match and I would love to get a re-match when both teams get into a higher TR/TS because this game was intense and close the entire way, and one changed roll could've made it go either way. However, I do feel that we had more luck than skill today, which is the reason I would like a re-match so that I can prove these Orcs don't need luck to win."

After he had said all this to us, he ran onto the pitch and made a sacrifice to Nuffle, which invovled the whole team, a campfire, and an unwary spectator...

The Crush has only one more game until they play in the Blitz Invitational. They aim to come out of that one in tact so they can have their full team to bash their way to victory.
