This was a great and unexpectedly even match to see.
After a long losing strike for the coach Urrghs, the 69ers de Luxe could draw the game before. Now, their fans came today to the area to see, if they can progress any further. Actually the most expected a quite bashy game which in the Humans would try to avoid the tough dwarves whenever possible and score from time to time.
But when the match started, we all got surprised.
Once again a very bad performence of the 69ers kicker resulted in a touch back.
Securing the ball, the dwarves drove slowly forward. Their guards managed to keep the Human Blitzers away and the 69ers coach Urrghs already was preparing for a second half, in which his team would have to fight for a draw.
Surprisingly the dwarves tried to reorganize their offense and failed during a hand-off.
The Human thrower grabbed the ball and was searching for a receiver.
Since no one was to be seen, and the dwarf attackers would hit him instantly, he surprised everyone and sent the ball deep down in the dwarves` half of the empty pitch.
Then a dramatic race gegan. Who would be the first to reach the ball?
In the end, the players of Centurian and a Half got it, but could not make it to the end zone in time.

The second half appeared then to become a quite unspectacular drive.
The Humans picked the ball, tried to position their receivers and were waiting to score.
When David Schleicher happened to break through the well organized dwarf defense, he awaited the pass. Guenni Adlerauge failed to throw the ball properly, which resulted in the dwarf defender blocking Schleicher and sending him to the ground.

But the Human Lineman got in rage, stood up, dodged around his opponent, picked up the ball and, seeming to take some extra steps (never seen him that fast), scored for the 1-0.

After that, the dwarves would again try to reach the end-zone by themselves.
And again, the Kick-Off resulted in a Touch Back, increasing the little fellows`chances.
But this time the 69ers defense was really disciplined and closed any gaps, so the Centurian and a Half ran out of time.

So resumingly we must say: Great David Schleicher, who by his mates was renamed `the Elf` after the match, and bad kickers. There should be done something about that.
