Our third matchup in the CTL and this one to break the deadlock. For whatever jolly good reason, Mighty Zuggy decided he wouldn't turn up today and most of the lads are pretty happy about that given still too fresh memories of their first game. It may have made all the difference.

The Woolly Waddlers as we've come to expect, turned out onto the pitch all fired up and raring to go. We'd sure like to find out what drugs they jammy up on before the game. Last game it was an RIP in the first block. This time they were a bit lethargic. It took a entire round to drop one of the lads. The waddlers must be getting a bit long in the tooth ;) Thankfully the sociable apot of ours was well prepared and the lads fought back with a heavy hit of their own before the balance swung out of control.

The first drive was a tough one. The Waddlers didn't leave much of an opening, Dazza put the pressure on the Seer, and the Wraithlords had to sit tight, swing left and then finally right before making a break for the tryline. Even then, a dazzling blitz from the Binger (Barry) spilled the ball, but it wasn't enough to stop the lads from recovering for the try.

Despite the look of the scoreboard, the Waddlers kept making sure the Wraithlords worked hard for their tries, but a ko'sy bin late in the first half and some unlucky hits couldn't keep them in the game.
I expect we'll look forward to sayin g'day to Zuggy next round...

Our Deathwish honours for the round: Chris 'Tank' Thomas. Nothing glorious, but did the hard yards for his team. Unfortunately the rest of the lads didn't lift with him.
