Nobody important has died thus far; this list is empty.

Windhelm was a player of the Reikland Reavers from 2563 to 2568, when he was cut by new coach Helmut Zwimmer. The then young blitzer swore vengeance towards the coach and started working for any team that would let him play against the Reavers; however, for whatever reason, Max "the Maniac", as he was known back then, never managed to do anything but lose against his nemesis, usually because of fan interference, teammate incompetence or sheer bad luck, like when in 2579 a stacked Creeveland Crescents team captained by Windhelm was forced to concede the match against the Reavers because at halftime the door to the locker room, made in solid steel, got stuck. The players were freed one week later.
In 2589, the then middle aged and bitter Windhelm suffered one last humiliating defeat, when he was the last one falling in a clear-the-pitch win by the Reavers. Nagged by old injuries, with the market shrinking after the collapse of the NAF and with a sour reputation preceding him, Windhelm found himself without a team for the first time in 26 years.
Refusing to give up, he kept playing, sometimes as a journeyman for minor teams, sometimes for free; in 2592 he even joined an halfling team competing in a Stunty Leeg. Max was looking for one more game against his old team, one long-sought win to finally sate his thirst for revenge, but that chance never came again. Eventually not even stunty teams were willing to hire the elderly journeyman, and in 2597 Windhelm forcefully retired.
To add insult to injury, Cabal Vision dedicated a special to his solid but unlucky career, which included interviews to many of his former opponents like Orlak Sturmdrang, Griff Oberwald and Mighty Zug, who fondly remembered his determination and dedication to the game. Filled with rage, Windhelm first sent a mail full of insults and death threats at CV's editorial staff, and then stormed out of his hometown towards the Chaos Wastelands, claiming "I'd rather be eaten by a demon than being ridiculed worldwide one more day".

A misteriously rejuvenated and mutated Maximilian Windhelm lookalike appeared recently alongside the Coven. It's not clear if he is, indeed, the same player.
