TEAM INFO ---------------- The team was founded, in what must surely have been the most drunken of states, by the regulars at Moe's Tavern. Upon further and much less drunk inspection, they realised that they had no where near enough players. So they decided to rope in some of Springfield's more upstanding(and Fat Tony), harder working(and Chief Wiggum) and generally less blotto folk, in search of sporting glory. As luck would have it, these happen to be some of my favorite characters and hopefully yours too. As replacement team members are needed, I'm sure some of the other towns-folk will offer themselves up and do their bit for the team. Barney 'Let's Rumble' Gumble was scheduled to appear for the team in their fledgling games, but never seems to make it, yet strangely never misses the after game festivities back at Moe's. You never know, Barney might even get up off the mens-room floor, for the odd game or two and make a freebooter appearance. TEAM NEWS ------------------ Due to the retirement from the game, by team owner and manager 'Moe Syszlack'. There is now someone to get Barney 'Let's Rumble' Gumble up off the mens room floor and onto the team coach. This means he will now be playing Lineman for the 'Duffers' every game. Until he dies that is! No-one has heard from Carl Carlson, the teams best ever living player, since he took a horrible crunching hit against 'Ashes 'n' Dust' a Khemri team coached by 'Chewie'. It has been rumored that he decided to take a break from the game and has gone off round the world traveling. 'Duffers' fans hope that one day he'll decide to make a triumphant return to the 'Duffers' ranks and wow the crowds once more. Seymore 'Principal' Skinner has run into some trouble over registration irregularities after the discovery that he is in fact an imposter who's real name is said to be Armin Tamzarian. Once this matter has been resolved he may be able to return to the team registering under his real name, assuming the towns people would be prepared to accept him back as one of their own again, having kept his secret from them all for so long.
