Near the center of Amazonia lies beautiful Lake Lokka. On the cliffs above the lake is the holy Shrine Of Rigg which commemorates the mythic union between Rigg, the Amazon Goddess of war, and Amex, the Sea Elf God of wealth and happiness On the northern shore of the lake, nestled beneath the cliffs supporting the Shrine, sits Lake Lokka Rowing Club. There, the tallest and most dedicated of high-society Amazons learn to row. They wake up early and eat lactic acid for breakfast. LLRC’s mission is hard to understand. Rowing is miserable. It's expensive. No cargo is carried. No aims, other than moving boats fast, are achieved. The lake could be put to better use than this. The people could be put to better use than this. Nonetheless, whole lives are devoted to Lake Lokka Rowing, and have been for generations. The most prestigious Amazon universities care about moving boats as fast as possible. So, rowing proliferates. And so long as it does, LLRC’s boats will be faster than yours; you slow-catching, no leg-drive cowards. "We love to hate it and hate to love it; but love it we do. Lake Lokka will be faster than you." LLRC is using the off season to cross-train. Blood Bowl has been chosen as a good way to increase pain tolerance. Armor, like pogies, is for cowards.
