Centigors, it has long been said, are the wisest of living creatures. That, of course, is before they lay their hands on a drink (or seven), at which point they become crazed, witless, legless and demented (in other words, ideal Blood Bowl players!). It is said that Centigors can smell a wedding party at 40 leagues off, their speciality being to gate-crash the wedding, drink all the wine (a short procedure), and to carry off the women! But fear not, gentle reader, "protection" is available (see below).

The Dukes of Rifraffa are elected, following the unfortunate incident in which the populace impaled the 17th Duke in the public square for his overly rapacious ways. This led to a short period of relative lawfulness, before the restoration of normality with the election of the current Duke Pizzu (a notorious crimelord of Sartosan origin). Duke Pizzu was exiled from Sartosa by the "Syndicate" for being unduly violent and thuggish (an impressive feat, making him one of only 3 individuals to be so treated).

Following his exile, Pizzu predictably made a beeline to the lawless city of Rifraffa in central Tilea. Once there, he worked his way up in the traditional manner, namely pizza parlours (fronts for speakeasies and money laundering), municipal cleaning contracts, and (of course) Blood Bowl match-fixing. Before long he found himself at the top of the organised crime tree, at which point ensuring his election as Duke was a formality.

Once elected, Duke Pizzu (like many before him) sought ways to bolster his ever-flagging popularity. He hit on an excellent idea, which was to negotiate with the rapacious band of Centigors raiding his country estate, and to "convert" them into a fully fledged Blood Bowl team! Negotiations were surprisingly simple (though costing much good wine), and the team has proved a great hit with the populace.

Of course, if you now wish to buy "protection" for your wedding party (and to ensure that your daughters and nieces are not unceremoniously carted off), Duke Pizzu and his newfound henchmen are only too happy to oblige!

The Ungors, most numerous of the Beastmen races, are very content to tag along for the ride (there being never enough witless and legless Centigors to form a full team). But the Ungors have to watch their step - not only are they despised by one and all as little better than vermin, they are highly valued for their colourful pelts! Thus you will find Apothecaries curiously reluctant to use their powers on Ungors in the dugout (or worse, deliberately botching their ahem "surgical" operations), so as to protect this most valuable source of income on the side.

Team mottos: "I'll just have another one!", "One for the road!", "Cheers!", "For Auld Lang Syne!" (etc., etc.).
