RAVEN CUP I

Game 1: 2 Blitzers MNG one Niggled

Game 2: Started with 9 players. Got demolished 5-1, my worst game ever.

Game 3: Started with 10 players. First Win is a shutout 4-0.

Game 4: Finally started with 12 players. Incurred 2 MNGs with another blitzer niggled, that's ok cause I pitched another shutout 3-0.

Game 5: Started 11 players including my new Ogre, Tiny!!! Tiny gets BH on the first block of the game by Da'Bashun Ladz Troll. Had 2 blitzers think they were the greatest so that puts me at most 9 players on the pitch at a time. By the end of the game I had 5 players on the pitch. Still managed another shutout 3-0. Tiny managed the MVP in his first game despite getting BH in the first turn of the game. Go Figure.

Game 6: Started 13 players, well 12 because the same 2 players from Game 5 thought they were the greatest this week as well. Unfortunately we had to let Jimmy Doyle go since he suffered his 2nd niggling injury. We can't have somebody that's so injury prone, especially one that's a blitzer. Dispite suffering 4 casualites(5..Blitzer Cooter Ray was killed but saved) we still managed a shutout with the last point coming on an amazing effort(check out the game replay).

Game 7: Started 12 players, only 1 MNG. Moreley's revenge wreaked havok on 2 Rowdies linemen one of which never played the entire game. Bad Press went out this week on the Rowdies so we had a low fan turn out...speaking of which, 4 straight shutouts with +2 to the FF roll and it never went up. Makes me think the fans don't yet believe this team is for real. Still think there should be a +1 to the FF roll for a shutout. Pretty clean game with the exception of Billy Ray getting blasted out into the crowd to pick up his second niggle. The end of the game saw him get his walking papers as the Rowdies managed enough winnings to sign Blitzer Bocephus to replace him. Very tough game. Taken 2nd place soley.

Game 8: Started 13 players, no MNGs! Well what can I say. I just suck at playing fast teams. Started with a suck handicap which never factored in(Bonehead on Wardancer). Had to use the apothecary on the first turn of the game to keep my best player in the game. One failed(reroll fail) easy dodge really turned the game upside down for the Rowdies. Kudos to Pulp Power for playing a solid game. You can guarantee the Rowdies are gonna spend alot of time running windsprints this week. One positive in the gameplan, Tiny the Ogre managed to basically keep the Pulp Power Treeman out of the game. Still no FF increase. Hopefully we'll have better luck against the Villuj Idyuts.

Game 9: Well at least we didn't lose. I knew it was gonna be a tough game with the Villuj Idyuts came out fouling and managed to niggle Johnny Paul on a foul and badly hurt another lineman on a block....in the first turn! From then on I played with 9 and 10 on the field. Our star player Bubba managed to get knocked out early in the first half and never managed to come to. In the second half we managed to stiffen and QUIT PLAYING LIKE LITTLE GIRLS. Buck(only in his third game) was able to make a push out front while John Ray came up, tossed the ball to him and he waltzed into the endzone for the tieing score. With 4 turns left we fought tough while the Idyuts spread the field to try for the last score. Needless to say the pass was incomplete and the game ended. Early on we played like total crap but I was proud how we fought back in the end to at least save face and not suffer our second loss in a row.

Game 10: Raven Cup I Semifinal. Had to rumble with a very explosive Pulp Power team. Luckily our guys came to play. After a quick 2-0 lead by Pulp Power 3 turns into the game, we finally decided to focus. And focus we did by putting elves on the ground and rolling down the field like a train on fire! A big OT 3-2 win, takes us to the final against the Villuj Idyuts. After the game we signed the first Rowdies catcher...Little Bobby.

Game 11: Raven Cup I Final. It's hard to think that this team almost got retired after it's second game. Diligence has been the staple of this solid human team...team being the operative word. Reguardless of the outcome, I am extremely proud of this team. Thru victory and defeat, we've managed to stay focused on the goal at hand, getting to the big show. It all comes down to this. We've proven that we can play with anybody, even when the chips were down. That won't change as long as this team stays together. We've seen players come and we've seen 'em go as well but one thing's for sure...The Roadhouse Rowdies are here to stay! gamereport Well this was definately a good one up until the game crashed midway thru the 4th turn. Prior to the crash, Finrod had managed to get the ball to the endzone...albiet on the ground but in the endzone none the less. Well when we rebooted, he failed a roll and was unable to duplicate the previous result. Still, being out number 11 to 8, I had to dodge into a tackle zone, pickup the ball in the tackle zone and dodge back out. Not an easy thing to do. Moving around some players let me take the ball all the way down to score in the final turn with little resistance. I truly wish the game hadn't crashed on us since this was the final. I've been on the other side of this too and it's not a good feeling. But we still had to work for the win. It definatly was no cakewalk. My hats off to Finrod. He truly is a great coach and I feel bad for how things turned out...well except the winning part.

Raven Cup I: Champions

Game 12: Well we managed to win another one but at a huge expense. We had to say farewell to both Jim Bob and Earl. Both were killed during the game which saw blitzer Bocephus pick up a serious injury that will stay with him for a while. After the game we welcomed in a new catcher, John Boy and another lineman, Hank.

Hornet Division

Game 13: Another horribly rolled game against rolling that just couldn't fail. The Slippery Snakeskins played a great game though. We just couldn't make the plays when we needed them, not to mention the critical error we made on the first turn of the game when we shouldn't have reversed directions. Thus we start out 0-1.

Game 14: You take a good guess at what happened. Yeah we sucked.

Game 15: See game 14.

Game 16: We forfieted. 1 Badly hurt, 4 Seriously Injured, and 2 killed thru the first 3 games of Hornet I. This team really needed the week off to rest and reevaluate. To start this tourney 0-3 is unacceptable but now we are just playing to get by so we can wipe the slate clean and start over in the next tournement. Until then, it's windsprints everyday after practice.

Game 17: First win of the Hornet I tourney. Had to face Fungus the Loon for the second game in a row(well the first time we forfeited). Luckily he was even nuttier than usual as he managed to SI/n a Black Orc and spare the rowdies from any bad injuries. I guess that was enough to get him ejected before the second half started. Well the Rowdies did have to play 2 men down for first half of the 2nd half and started 1down the rest of the 2nd half(which after a couple of KOs including the Ogre brought us back down to 8 IIRC). Anyway, Da Bashun Ladz had some good moves and it wasn't a bad game. Just luckily we came out on top.

Game 18: Second Win. First half totally bit and we just moved away and forced the Raiders to make a decision to either stall or score. Hindsight being 20/20, they probably should have stalled. But they scored and on the ensuing kickoff we took it in 2 turns to tie it up. We recieved to start the second half and we marched it down the field and scored in 3 turns to go up 2-1. The final drive of the game by the Raiders was stopped and we managed to get the ball twice and at the end threw it innacurately down field to a catcher in scoring position and failed to make the catch but the ball landed sooo far from any raider play that they had no hope of getting a score. So we win another and FF finally goes up for the first time since the Raven Cup I final.

Game 19: Well here we go again. Bad luck vs Good luck. I'll quote what Outrigger had to say while spectating the game, "if you had any luck, you'd be killin him right now". Yeah that about sums it up. Bad Luck when I touched the ball, bad luck when he touched the ball. I think we had a chance all the way up to the middle of the 2nd half. Way too many ones, which reminds me, I'm gonna replay the game and count all of the failed rolls and rolls of 1. I think Tiny had more boneheads in this game than he's had all of his career. Couldn't believe that. EDIT: After looking at the replay, with stuns, boneheads and getting casualited out of the game, Tiny effectively missed 11 turns of a 16 turn game. 3 of the 5 turns he was able to do something, he just stood. Of the other 2, he blocked(pushback) and moved one square. Yeah he had a horrible game. But I give him credit for doing "something" cause he has guard when he stood and didn't have a bonehead..

Game 20: HAHA says it all. I prophesized going into this "offseason" game against the Shadow Legends that we would once again be smoked. And that we were. The Rowdies just can't grasp the Rat's game. Looks like more wind sprints for all and double for James Ray and John Ray, the throwers for thinking they both were the greatest. This keeps happening, how can I make this team learn that we are a, well, team!?! Our only TD drive was executed to near perfection as we went with a little delay and managed to get our rookie lineman the ball for a quick score. Welcome PeeWee, our newest catcher.

Game 21: Well we got a little back on track with a pretty good game and not as violent as one would think. We were actually on the plus side of the casualty differiential. Newcomer PeeWee got his first TD, and Little Bobby snagged his 3rd. Buck is now the team leading blocker with 4 CAS and picked up the MVP today. James Ray remained flawless by throwing his 17th and 18th completion, while John Ray picked up a completion as well. Tiny played really smart today and helped all over the field. Really the only downer was Billy Bobs lingering injury caused him to sit this one out. Hopefully he'll be back next week as he is one of the best at assisting.

Game 22: Last game of offseason was a win. That makes us 1/1/1 thru these three games. Sure am glad we finished on a high note. Crampage played a great game. I think the only failed roll was the GFI that allowed John Boy to score on the last turn of the game to seal the win. The Rowdy catchers are improving nicely. For once since the begining of the Hornet I Tourenment, I feel as though we are solid again. Of course this was how we were when we started Hornet I. Hopefully we will be able to maintain goin into the next Hornet.
